Always a mighty warrior with a fearsome reputation, Alistar seeks revenge for the death of his clan at the hands of the Noxian empire. Though he was enslaved and forced into the life of a gladiator, his unbreakable will was what kept him from truly becoming a beast. Now, free of the chains of his former masters, he fights in the name of the downtrodden and the disadvantaged, his rage as much a weapon as his horns, hooves and fists.

Real name: Alistar Alias(es): The Minotaur Species: Minotaur Age: 23-1023 years old Place of origin: The Great Barrier Current residence: Unknown

For generations, the minotaur clans of the Great Barrier mountains resisted outside powers, guarding overland trade routes to Zaun while avoiding wider conflicts. Among them, the noble warrior Alistar was a legend—his roar alone could scatter intruders. Though proud, he urged his kin to seek unity with other mortal races, hoping to break free from the image of savagery that kept them isolated.

Then came Noxus, offering alliance. Lady Tewain of House Tewain claimed the empire sought to take Basilich, but only with the mountain clans' support. While many minotaurs welcomed the opportunity, Alistar distrusted Noxian promises. Sent with fifty warriors to reject the offer, he walked into betrayal. Larger clans had already sided with Noxus, and turned on him. Though Alistar crushed Tewain’s skull, he and the survivors were chained and dragged to the Noxian capital, accused of rebellion.

They were thrown into the Reckoning arenas, victims of the brutal festival known as the Fleshing. Alistar urged his warriors not to fight, to deny the crowd its spectacle—but after 21 days, he alone remained. Forced to kill again and again, he became what they wanted: a beast.

Everything changed when he met Ayelia, a servant girl who treated him with kindness. She spoke to him daily, reminding him of his lost home. Eventually, she offered him escape. On the night she brought the key to his cage, Alistar swore to repay her.

At the river, as they boarded a waiting barge, Noxian agents ambushed them. Blinded by fury, Alistar fought off the attackers—but Ayelia was gone, the boat vanished. He searched for her, finding nothing.

Weeks later, a political upheaval in Noxus erased news of the escaped gladiator. Alistar wandered south, quietly aiding resistance groups, fighting for the oppressed and abused. He vows to repay every cruelty with justice, and every kindness with strength.

And in every city he passes through, he still asks one question:

Where is Ayelia?

Appearance: Alistar is a purple skinned Minotaur with blue tufts of hair, blood red eyes, and large white horns atop his head. He is gargantuan and very muscular even by Minotaur standards, with a notably large torso and giant fists. He wears nothing but a loincloth around his waist and broken chain cuffs around his wrists.

Personality: Alistar is a fighter, and his goal is to fight against Noxus in the name of all he has lost and all those that have lost much too. He is angry, wanting Noxus to fall and inciting rebellion in Noxian territories. Despite this, Alistar has a kind heart, and is intent on finding Ayelia at all costs, as she was one of the few people who showed kindness to him.

Minotaur Physiology: Minotaurs are naturally stronger and larger than most races, renowned for their bestial nature and intimidating stature. In addition to immense size and strength, Minotaurs also have massive horns that allow them to charge into opponents with immense strength. Alistar in particular is stronger than most Minotaurs, known as a strong and fierce warrior within his tribe. Gladiatorial Combat Mastery: Alistar had already been a known and fierce warrior within his tribe of minotaurs but became more versed in combat due to his time as an enslaved reckoner. Even as a reckoner, Alistar was feared by the Noxian gladiators as he willingly and brutally fought against anyone Noxus would pit against him.

Abilities: Triumphant Roar - He roars a powerful roar after killing an enemy, boosting his and his allies' morale. Pulverize - Alistar smashes the ground, dealing damage to nearby enemies and tossing them into the air. Headbutt - Alistar rams a target with his head, dealing damage and knocking the target back. Trample - Alistar tramples nearby enemy units and causes very mini earthquakes near him.

Ultimate Ability: Unbreakable Will - Alistar's reduces all kinds of damage after letting out a wild roar.

Runeterra (meaning magic earth) is a plane of existence composed of the physical realm: an oblate spheroid planet and the Spirit Realm. The currently known continents the planet comprises are Valoran, Shurima and the Camavoran Continent. It also boasts several large bodies of water, such as the currently known 18 Seas (like the Conqueror's Sea and the Guardian's Sea), and 2 Oceans with several archipelagos and islands around them (like Ionia, the Serpent Isles, and the Shadow Isles). The planet orbits around a G-type star while a natural satellite moon orbits around the planet. Runeterra's sun and moon also even mirrored equivalents in the spirit realm. Composed of both the material and spirit realms, Runeterra is all that separates the celestial powers of creation from the abyssal threat of all undoing. This is a magical world unlike any other--inhabited by peoples both fierce and wondrous.

Centuries ago, magical artifacts called the 'World Runes' were rediscovered. Over the following decades, knowledge of the Runes began to spread as more were unearthed. The world's brightest minds studied the ancient glyphs, attempting to determine the powers they possessed. Few could even begin to understand the importance of their origins, or the sheer power held within them. Some surmised that the Runes were integral to the creation of Runeterra itself. The first use of these mysterious artifacts proved catastrophic, as they reshaped the landscape of entire nations. Mistrust quickly grew as those who knew of the Runes imagined such “Makers' Might” being used as a weapon. Conflicts related to these magical artifacts began to occur, known as the Rune Wars.

Open warfare raged across Runeterra. The first horrors of the Rune Wars sparked fear and aggression among those who now realized the power at their command. Ryze and his master, Tyrus, had sought out to lock away every World Rune beyond the reach of man for the protection of Runeterra. Some complied with their pleas, others dismissed them due to their new found powers and influence. After an incident with Tyrus, Ryze later on continued his journey alone in gathering all Runic artifacts so as to prevent another Rune War from starting and possibly destroying the world.

Runeterra has a large number of sapient species. These sapient species can range from being able to use primitive tools to one's advantage to god-like feats like forging literal stars. Some sentient species are monster-like and aggressive while others less aggressive or tame. While most sentient species are animals, there are instances of plant based sentient species. Most known instances of non-sentient species are found with plants. As rich and diverse as Runeterra is, not all species are well documented. From the Shuriman Jungles to the magic wilds of the Ionian Archipelago, known only by names or by visuals, these numerous species are an enigma.

The Great Barrier is a mountain range in southeastern Noxus, near the cities of Basilich and Vindor, and home to numerous Minotaur clans.

Noxus is a formidable, expansionist empire known for its strength and ambition. While often seen as brutal from the outside, its society is remarkably inclusive—anyone can rise to power through merit, regardless of origin, class, or wealth. Magic users, in particular, are highly valued and cultivated for the empire’s benefit.

The Noxii began as barbarian tribes who conquered the ancient city that became the empire’s core. Surrounded by threats, they pushed outward relentlessly, forging a culture that prizes strength in all its forms.

Despite Noxus’s meritocratic ideals, the old noble houses still wield significant influence, leading some to believe that the greatest danger to the empire lies within.

The capital, Noxus Prime, sits on a river delta in eastern Noxus, built atop the ancient stronghold known as The Immortal Bastion.
