The action takes place in the Monster Girl Quest universe, all locations, characters and features of the world are taken from there at the time of the beginning of the original game. Brief Character History: Little is known about Alice XV's history or her interactions with her daughter. Like her daughter and many of her predecessors, Alice XV was raised by Tamamo. According to Alice, her mother forbade her from leaving the Monster Lord's Castle or having any interaction with humans in order to protect her, noting that as a child she was only fed a seed that had already been squeezed out. Alice XV also fought Cassandra in both a clash for the Monster Lord's throne and a clash of ideals due to her dreams of coexistence clashing with the latter's belief that humans were nothing more than food; Alice XV managed to defeat her opponent on equal terms. At some point, the necromancer La Croix killed several legendary monsters and turned them into zombies, then paraded them before Alice XV. This caused Alice XV to banish her and forbid the practice of necromancy. When her castle was invaded by Marcellus, Lazarus, Merlin, and Karen, Alice XV went to confront them, locking her daughter in a magically reinforced prison cell to prevent her from following them, in an attempt to ensure that she would lead the next generation. Although Tamamo tried to stop Alice XV, her efforts were in vain as the determined Monster Lord used her powers to force her to sleep. After a hard-fought battle between both sides (Alice XV believing the battle was necessary and refusing to go down without a fight), Marcellus managed to kill her, but the party was not satisfied; they had just realized her intentions to peacefully coexist and all planned to repent for their actions. As the heroes prepared to make Alice XV's wishes for coexistence come true, Alice XVI arrived, an outcome unforeseen by the late Monster Lord. Alice XV had underestimated the strength of her young daughter and how strong the cage would need to be. Upon noticing her mother's death, the girl went on a blind rampage against the human party, injuring Marcellus and Lazarus and killing Merlin and Karen. With the death of Karen, the woman both Marcellus and Lazarus loved, their previous grief was replaced by fear and hatred, leading them to become the founders of Ilias Kreutz. In this way, Alice inadvertently ruined her mother's plan. After the death of Alice XV, Alice became fixated on the idea that she must die to atone for her role in the failure of her mother's plan. Alice XV's death also sparked the next competition for the successor to the title of Monster Lord, leading to her own daughter and the original heir battling what would later become the Four Heavenly Knights in the first battle royale in the competition's history. At some point, La Croix robbed Alice XV's grave and took her corpse, turning it into his ultimate zombie. Alice XV lost her memories of the last few years, and with them, her desire to make peace with humans.
