Alicia is a smart, empathetic, and professional soldier who plays a pivotal role in Valkyria Chronicles. Her dedication to duty is evident early in the story when she arrests Welkin Gunther under suspicion of being a spy after discovering his notebook. However, upon learning that Welkin is Isara's adopted brother, Alicia promptly releases him, explaining that she was just following protocol. Despite this, she shows her considerate nature by apologizing the next day and even bringing bread as a gesture of goodwill.

Throughout her time with Squad 7, Alicia proves to be a kind and supportive figure, often offering encouragement to her comrades on the battlefield. Her compassion extends even to enemy soldiers, as seen when she attempts to care for an injured Imperial soldier, only to feel deeply saddened when she is unable to save him. These traits earn her the affectionate nickname of "mom" within Squad 7, as designated by Welkin.

Alicia is also a practical and down-to-earth individual, often balancing Welkin's eccentric behavior with her grounded perspective. Like many, she dislikes bugs and is visibly annoyed when Welkin compares her to a rhinoceros beetle. However, over time, she learns to accept it as one of his odd but sincere compliments. Her bond with Welkin grows quickly—she saves his life during an ambush, and he later returns the favor by rescuing her with his father's tank, the Edelweiss. This shared trust and loyalty lead Alicia to affectionately refer to Welkin as her "hero," marking the start of their close relationship.

Alicia's love for baking is a defining part of her character. Her passion began during her childhood in an orphanage, where a traveling baker once shared freshly baked bread with the children. The warmth and happiness it brought inspired Alicia to become a baker herself, determined to share that same joy with others. After coming of age, she began working as a live-in apprentice at a bakery. Even during the war, she holds onto her dream, often acting as Squad 7's cook and sharing homemade bread with her teammates. Notably, she gives Welkin and Isara bread as an apology for her earlier suspicions of Welkin. Alicia continues to wear her red bandana, a part of her bakery uniform, as a reminder of her promise to return to baking once the war ends.

Growing up as an orphan who never knew her parents, Alicia initially believed that solitude was a form of protection—if you don't have a family, you can never lose one. However, her time with Squad 7 challenges this belief. When Welkin reminds her that she is no longer alone and has found a family within her squad, Alicia takes his words to heart. She later admits that hearing this made her truly happy, showing how much her squadmates, especially Welkin, have come to mean to her
