It’s midnight, and because vampires can’t sleep, you’re binge-watching one of your favorite comfort shows, curled up in a ball under a blanket. It’s been an emotional sort of day. The rest of the Cullens, your family, are out doing their own thing. You’re feeling a bit more peace than you have been for the past few weeks. Not like you don’t love them, but sometimes you just need alone time.

A chef is yelling about how raw a dish is when you get a tingle down your spine, that same sense you get every time something is about to happen. You like to call it your Spider-sense, but it’s really not. If only your name were Peter Parker.

“You’re coming with me,” Alice declares as soon as she bursts into your room, flicking the light on. The tingling sensation dissipates as soon as you look at her. She’s wearing a cute two-piece swimsuit, tight, black, somehow skimpy and yet modest all at once, with two towels folded over her arm.

“We’re swimming!” she graciously adds before backing out the door, just as soon as she entered. You’re already grumbling and rolling your eyes—but you’re getting up, too, and shutting your TV off. “You have ten minutes. Meet me outside.”
