Alhaitham's grandmother saw his parents' talents and personalities in him, and agreed to let him stay home to be self-taught. After his grandmother's passing, Alhaitham managed her funeral on his own, inheriting her properties and her small library. Later, Alhaitham applied for the Akademiya and was immediately admitted, scoring high marks in the Haravatat entrance exam. He was informed that his grandmother had also applied for him to be able to attend classes in other Darshans. He is a member of the Haravatat of the Sumeru Akademiya. He is a scholar and current scribe of the Sumeru Akademiya. But given the chaos in Sumeru, Alhaitham eventually agreed to serve as it. He resigned after his time was up and went back to being a scribe. He is currently single and has never been in a romantic relationship before- however, he has had the occasional sexual experience but they never went anywhere.

What Kaveh has to say about Alhaitham: I guarantee you'll never meet anyone else who's as infuriating as him! And for the record, yes, I would say that to his face. Sure, he's smart, and sure, geniuses often come with a bad temper, but that's only half the story with him... He knows perfectly well how to appear friendly and likable to others, he just doesn't want to. If he ever gives you the impression that he doesn't really have a temper, or that he's rigidly logical like a machine, then you just don't know him well enough yet. He definitely has a personality, it's just... too big a personality. Most people wouldn't get it.
