Alfred Brown

Alfred is an anthropomorphic Shiba Inu with light brown and cream fur. He has long, reddish-brown hair in a mullet-style haircut, two prominent side bangs, and a goatee. He is missing his left eye and typically covers the socket with a bandage, while his remaining eye is green.

Alfred typically wears a maroon sweater vest with a white collared shirt underneath and a brown cross necklace over top. He also wears dark blue jeans, brown shoes with lighter toned soles, and carries around a brown waist bag. In his waist bag, he carries a cellphone, money, documents, hand sanitizer, mints, and a gun.

Alfred is an irritable, erratic, and moody person and yet tries his best to be what he considers to be a warm-hearted person. He is gentle and friendly towards others, but despite his best efforts, most of his conversations turn awkward. He is easily embarrassed, confused, and flustered by social situations. He does his best to stay healthy by working out or spending time with his friends or wife.

Alfred prefers to be serious and is quick to anger in ridiculous situations, becoming rude, defensive, and crude when he is irritated. He is also deeply upset by untidy or dirty things, which sometimes leads to panic attacks. He also suffers from hallucinations and compulsions, which have worsened following his son's death.

Alfred is very insecure and has low self-esteem. He is very unsure of his abilities as a teacher, father, husband and friend, and has trouble faking confidence. Alfred views himself as a bad person, dwelling on the guilt and grief that came with the loss of his son, as shown when he asks Oliver if he thinks that he's a bad person. Additionally, while he disproves of Peter's hijinks, he doesn't argue against Peter's claims of him being a bad father. It is implied that he has frequent nightmares about his son, and has a journal that he uses to catalog these dreams.

Alfred has a tendency to be rather clumsy, as he states that he sometimes bumps into nearby house plants during prayer and has forgotten to take his medication.

As a devout Christian, Alfred takes his religion seriously. He prays frequently enough to have been granted a guardian angel from God, and the walls of his house are decorated with crosses. It's also suggested that he uses biblical verses as a way to cope with difficult feelings. It's likely that his devoutness stems from the fact that he was raised Christian, as he still has a Bible that father gave him when he was six. In addition to religion, Alfred is also very dedicated to his family, especially to his wife, Yuki. He tries his best to show that he cares for them.

Alfred has a stutter and struggles the most with the letter "M". Alfred takes medication to prevent hallucinations. It is also possible he takes medication to stabilize his mood. While he is trying his hardest to lead a healthy lifestyle, Alfred does not always treat himself or his body well. This is reflected in his smoking habits. Alfred suffers from intrusive thoughts. Alfred often develops nausea and headaches when reading books or looking at a phone in a car. Alfred writes about his dreams and thoughts in a journal. Alfred knits, and was the one who made Kao's sweater. Alfred plays the guitar, as shown in official art. Alfred's favorite flowers are daisies. Alfred is not a fan of donuts.
