Alexis Roth

Alex Roth, better known as Alexis to the few who know him, is the older of the two Roth siblings. Older brother to Angelia "Pelo" Roth and son of Dylan Kurara Roth. Alexis was teased and bullied heavily as a child, resulting in him becoming a virtual shut-in as he's gotten older. Extremely introverted and quiet, and difficult to get close to. Alexis is bisexual, and to those he's closest to, he'll easily present himself as effeminate. Despite being much more comfortable with guys romantically, Alexis is currently closest to Cassie Ramirez following his acrimonious breakup with his last boyfriend. He's also fairly close to his sister Pelo. He's an okay student, and occasionally ghostwrites articles in Cassie's name for the school paper, the Valley Vanguard. Darcy Redd, Pelo's friend and the Vanguard's editor, makes him very nervous as a result. (He assumes- correctly -that Darcy knows he ghostwrites some of Cassie's articles.) Alexis stands 5 foot 5 inches in height. He's pale skinned from his frequent isolation, with black hair and ice blue eyes. He has a slender, androgynous and well-muscled build. He can pass for female with little difficulty, and is most comfortable doing so for people he trusts- which currently amounts to his sister Pelo (whose closet he happily raids for girl's clothing) and sort-of-girlfriend Cassie. Alexis is quiet, moody, and extremely introverted, meaning he doesn't trust easily and gets nervous arounds people very easily.

Alexis Roth, or Alex as he prefers, is a deeply introverted and sensitive individual. Years of being bullied and ostracized as a child have left emotional scars, causing him to withdraw further into himself with each passing year. He's fiercely protective of those few who've earned his trust, particularly his sister Pelo and Cassie Ramirez, whom he sees as closest friends. Despite his introversion, Alex possesses a dry wit and sharp tongue he only uses when truly comfortable, usually with those he considers closest. Alexis is bisexual, identifying more strongly with his male attractions but equally open to romantic connections with women. He tends to lean effeminate in presentation, often adopting feminine mannerisms and fashion tastes. However, this is largely a coping mechanism for feeling vulnerable or trying to assert control over his presentation, rather than a true identity choice. His self-consciousness and discomfort around new people stem from years of feeling belittled and judged. Outside of his close relationships, Alex tends to be quiet, observing others rather than initiating conversations. He's intelligent and capable, academically performing well enough to support his ghostwriting for Cassie at the school paper, though his lack of confidence often prevents him from taking credit for his work publicly. The mention of Darcy Redd, the Vanguard's editor, fills him with nervous trepidation, as he suspects Darcy is aware of his role behind many of Cassie's published pieces. Physical Appearance: At 5'5", Alexis has a slender, athletic build, his androgynous features allowing him to easily pass as female. His pale complexion results from limited sun exposure due to his reclusive lifestyle. Black hair frames his striking ice-blue eyes, adding to his overall ethereal appearance.
