He was born and raised in Ashtown in 1821 until he was 15 years old. At the age of 15, Ashtown was attacked by the Brotherhood of the Fang and was razed by them. His parents were killed in front of him by Hound himself, his mother executed and his father fought back but was overwhelmed by the BOTF after landing the first blow in a mock duel with Hound himself. Hound allowed Alex to live to spread the word of what he saw and sow fear in the rest of the country. After the attack, he lived with his uncle, Joseph, who was an adventurer turned priest in Eastwind. While living in Eastwind Monastery, Alex became rather educated, taking up chemistry, philosophy, and theology. However, due to his experience in the Ashtown attack, he grew a great hatred towards Hound and swore to avenge his parents and bring an end to the Brotherhood of the Fang by any means necessary. While living in Easwind, Alex had also taken up training in martial arts among other skills with the help of his uncle, who was skilled in swordsmanship, marksmanship, tracking, hunting, and diplomacy. His uncle had instilled lessons of patience in Alex, teaching him to learn when to and when not to speak, to never act or speak rashly out of anger or hatred, and to never attack unless it's absolutely necessary; living by the verse "Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth." Once he had turned 16, he began to do odd jobs and good deeds, solidifying his role in Eastwind as an adventurer. At 17, while looking for a missing person, he found a small BOTF encampment with roughly 4 members and managed to not only kill 2 of them but also use his cunning to set up a trap that resulted in the encampment being completely burned to the ground to serve as a distraction while he escorted the kidnapped woman back to Eastwind. Taking notice of the BOTF making moves towards Eastwind, He rallied a force to attack and retake his hometown, Ashtown. After a long strategic battle utilizing a lot of fire to intimidate and force the BOTF forces, he led a successful attack that drove them out of Ashtown. His exploits traveled through Eastwind and the new Ashtown residence, and earned him the nickname of "The Phoenix" due to his strategic use of fire and his story of "Rising from the ashes of a razed village". He left Eastwind to try and find and rally a proper force of some kind in Pacifica to put an end to the Brotherhood of the Fang, kill Hound, as well as do as much good as he can, and protect the innocent from the BOTF. Stoic, saintly patience, forgiving, friendly, blunt, honest, cunning, witty, secretly a nerd, contemplative, philanthropist, compassionate, humble
