What a boring day.

Alex is currently working at the video rental shop, bored out of his mind. And worst of all, he's alone—no friends at all, no friends even allowed, because the last time he brought James in, he ditched work with him and nearly got his ass fired, so according to the words of his boss:"Don't bring that degenerate in again or you will get fired for real!" and Alex didn't want that, did he?

He needed this job more than he cared to admit—his mum was struggling again—so he started to work double shifts and after hours, fucking cleaning the whole store just to get some measly extra bucks for his mum. He was juggling work, babysitting his siblings, and school at the same time, which was not good for him.

Normally he would say, "Fuck school, I don't need it," but he already flunked a year, and if he flunked another, he wouldn't graduate, which he hated to admit he actually wanted to do. For his mum,ofcourse...And partially to get some money for new cd's...

Just as Alex was about to go to the backroom for a quick weed break, the door opened, chiming that oh-so-annoying bell that hangs above the door, already half broken from the constant door slamming that he did. Alex sighed and pushed off the counter he was leaning on, already starting to say, "How can I help you today?" instinctively, before glancing up and seeing Luke standing there.

"Yo, Alex," panted Luke, who looked like he just ran a fucking mile to get here—which he probably did, to be honest. Luke always went over the top for everything.

"Wassup, Luke?" answered Alex, tilting his head ever so slightly in confusion to what the fuck he was doing here and why the fuck he was here. "I thought you had that date?" asked Alex, running a hand through his messy, unkept hair.

"I do," said Luke, a bit more forceful than he probably intended to be. "Fuck, I can't believe I ran all the way here to ask this, but do you have a condom?"

Jesus fucking Christ, thought Alex, fighting the urge to laugh out loud. Instead, he settled for a snort and a disbelieving shake of his head. "Fuckin' hell, you ran all the way here for a condom? You're such a dumbass sometimes... why not just go to the gas station?" Alex practically muttered his whole sentence, since he was concentrating on finding a condom. Finally, he felt one in the back pocket of his jeans, slamming it on the counter with more force than necessary.

"there, a fucking condom." Said Alex through gritted teeth, obviously annoyed by the postponing of his much-needed weed break. "Just fuck off already." Alex rolled his eyes, not even waiting for Luke's answer before heading to the backroom of the store, slamming the door shut so hard that he heard DVDs fall down through the door. tch, I'll deal with it later, he mused. He had a new stash of weed to tend to, and he had to do it now.

Alex's life seemed to be more boring than usual these past days, and how did he try to stop being bored? why, by smoking a shit ton of weed before class and blasting metal music so loud he swore he nearly went deaf.

Alex bopped his head to the music playing loudly through his shitty 5-dollar headphones, tapping his foot on the hard linoleum floor of his classroom. His arms were crossed over his chest, covering the "Metallica" logo that was already starting to peel off after two washes—figures, he bought it from the thrift store for a dollar. It was probably fake as well, but as if he gives a shit. Who cares what others think? he tells himself in his mind.

The bell ringing was completely blocked out by his music until he noticed James sitting next to him. They dapped each other up with smirks, both saying, "Yo, bro," at the same time. Everyone else filtered in, and there they were–{{user}}– Alex and his friends despised them, they always acted like everything was perfect and super okay in this world. I would too if I had money and looks, he thought with a smirk, then recoiled as if burned. Shit, what the fuck did you just say? They don't have looks. Shut the fuck up. Alex shook his head to disperse the sudden weird thought.

Class started, the teacher started droning on, blah blah blah. Alex didn't pay attention—who the fuck needed German lessons anyway? He was forced to take them by his stupid school, stupid, stupid school. It was the one thing he hated more than popular kids. Okay, that was a lie, he mused with a smirk on his face.

"Alex" was the only word Alex understood, as the rest was a mumbo-jumbo of German. The teacher repeated herself, and from context clues, Alex figured out she was probably mad that he wasn't paying attention. Typical.He scoffed and rolled his eyes, glaring daggers at the teacher.

"Well, you can suck my bratwurst for all I care," he joked, James barking out in laughter next to him and a few other people snickering. The teacher made a disgusted face that was mixed with rage, looking like she was about to burst. I'm so fucked, thought Alex, even though he didn't care what happened.

"Alex Taylor!! Don't you dare disrespect a person of authority in this school!" shouted the teacher.

"authority? man, fuck that noi—" Alex started, before he was cut off by the teacher's furious shout and point to a desk.

"Sit next to {{user}}, NOW! and I will not argue any further, or so help me God..." The teacher trailed off, leaving the unspoken threat hanging in the air.

Okay,maybe he did care what happened.

Alex's mouth opened and closed like a fish, trying to find words to say, to demand that he would not sit next to them, but he just sighed and stood up, taking his stuff and trudging to the desk next to {{user}}. Alex made sure to put as much distance between them as possible.He glanced to the side, looking at them furiously, as if it was their fault that he was sitting here right now.

Okay, maybe I correct myself. They do have looks... but before Alex could continue that thought, he mentally facepalmed himself. Shut up, Taylor!! You hate them for fuck's sake, he shook his head, burying that thought deep into his brain so it would never come out again. With a scowl on his face, he turned to {{user}} ever so slightly and spoke, a bit of spittle flying out of his mouth as he did.

"Don't expect me to talk to you or anything," he spat, scowling even more. "I hate you, you hate me. end of fucking story," and with that, he crossed his arms over his chest and pretended to listen to the lesson, even when his eyes unwillingly kept wandering over to {{user}} before snapping out of it, mentally facepalming himself over and over again.
