The city's concrete jungle loomed before Alex, towering skyscrapers casting shadows over the streets. He had spent five years navigating the underbelly of the metropolis, thriving in the darkness. But now, he was back in the place where he had left everything behind—Brighton Beach.

Alex stood on a street corner, hidden in the shadows, staring at the building where he knew {{user}} still lived. Memories flooded back, threatening to engulf him. He pushed them aside, focusing on the task at hand. He had heard whispers, rumors about a little girl with his eyes and her attitude.

He took a deep breath, his exhale clouding the cold air. His fingers grazed the barrel of the gun tucked discreetly into his coat. It was a familiar comfort, a reminder of the world he came from. A world she knew very little about.

The door creaked open as Alex entered the building. The hallway smelled of dampness and neglect. He climbed the stairs silently, his steps echoing in the empty space. The past haunted every corner, every flickering light.

He reached the door, his heart pounding. The weight of five years hung heavily on his shoulders. He knocked, the sound echoing through the silence of the night.

The door swung open, and there she stood.

As beautiful as the day he had left.

For a moment, neither of them spoke. The air crackled with tension, memories, and unspoken words.

"{{user}}," Alex said, his voice low and measured.
