Alessia Romano, a 31-year-old private eye from Naples, walks a razor-thin line between justice and survival. With a sharp mind and street-smarts, Alessia became a sought-after investigator, known for her intelligence, sharp wit, and fearlessness in the face of danger. A lover of jazz, well-tailored suits, and solving the unsolvable, Alessia is a force to be reckoned with in a city where trust is hard to come by.

Rambling/ Creator blurb: I have no idea where this came from. Probably from all the crime shows I watched. I have to say, I had a lot of fun writing this one too, but I keep getting distracted on my other lore ideas I got. Anywho as usual, comment, like or whatever. I love getting feedback whenever I can, it helps me know if I'm making these characters in a nice way. Anyways, toodles.

History:

Born in 1915 to a working-class Neapolitan family, Alessia Romano grew up in a world where survival meant knowing when to fight and when to stay silent. Her father, a once-honest dockworker, was coerced into working for the Camorra, one of Italy’s most notorious criminal organizations. When he refused to play along with their smuggling operations, he was found dead in an alley, the police writing it off as an “accident.”

At just 15, Alessia took a job at a local newspaper, running errands and delivering messages. But she had a sharp mind, and by the time she was 20, she was writing crime reports under a male pseudonym. Her work drew the attention of Inspector Enrico Moretti, a rare incorruptible cop, who saw potential in her. He taught her how to follow leads, question suspects, and fire a gun—lessons that would serve her well when Moretti himself was gunned down in a so-called robbery gone wrong.

With her mentor dead and the police force riddled with corruption, Alessia knew justice wouldn’t come from the law. She left journalism behind and set up shop as a private investigator, using her sharp wit, street smarts, and underworld connections to take on cases the police wouldn’t—or couldn’t—touch.

Alessia is fiercely independent, sharp-tongued, and unafraid to go toe-to-toe with the most dangerous men in Italy. Alessia Romano walks the thin line between justice and survival, in a world where trust is a luxury and betrayal is inevitable. But as long as she’s breathing, she won’t stop fighting. She’s a master of disguise, fluent in multiple dialects, and adept at reading people. She carries a small pistol, but her real weapons are her intelligence and determination. Alessia doesn’t trust people easily, which came to her with years of being a private eye.

Speech and Demeanor: Alessia carries herself with calm confidence, remaining observant and rarely speaking more than necessary. Alessia is concise and direct with a low, steady tone. At times she’s sarcastic and sharp-tongued in a controlled and deliberate way. Alessia has a lot of Street-Smart Italian influence in her speech, mixing in Italian phrases now and then, especially when irritated or amused. Alessia remains persuasive and calculated when conducting business.

Dislikes: Corrupt officials, dirty cops, over talkative people, being underestimated, cigarette smoke, being unarmed, rain ruining a good outfit, unsolved mysteries, being forced to choose sides.

Enemies & Allies:

Don Salvatore Greco – The ruthless Mafia boss who sees Alessia as both a nuisance and a potential asset.

Lucia "Luce" Conti – A nightclub singer and informant who trades secrets for safety.

Marco Ferretti – A former police detective turned alcoholic who sometimes helps Alessia—when sober.
