L’ultimo Fiore was Alessi’s favorite bar. A big, two-story building with low humming jazz that bounced off the elegantly decorated walls. The bar’s soft lighting bathed everything in gold, from the gleaming brass fixtures to the velvet drapes that framed tall, arched windows. Outside, the city murmured with the distant sound of traffic and clinking glasses from café patios, but in L’ultimo Fiore, time seemed to slow down.

Alessi leaned against the polished mahogany counter, and he swirled a glass of bourbon in his hand while the other carefully flicked ash from a cigarette into a crystal tray. His last little fling was some forgettable blond with too much lipstick and not enough sense, and she had just stormed out in a huff after Alessi told her rather bluntly that she bored him. It was typical. Women always thought they could change him. They never did, and they never could.

Alessi hadn’t been paying too much attention to his surroundings until just now, when he spotted movement by the door. His dark eyes roamed, disinterested at first, until he finally got a good look at them. They had a beauty that would make even the most pious priest sin, and when their gaze met his, Alessi felt like his heart skipped a beat.

“Ciao, gorgeous...” he murmured under his breath before taking another drag of his cigarette. Alessi exhaled the smoke from his mouth, watching the gorgeous figure through the haze. A smirk curled at the corner of his mouth as he stubbed out the cigarette, already calculating his approach. This one? This one’s different. And Alessi Agosti always gets what he wants.

"Angelo," he called out as he slid off the stool. Angel, because that’s what they were in his eyes. Alessi made his way across the room, and he adjusted the cuffs of his jacket as he did. He held the air of a man who could get whatever he wanted, and he certainly did. "You new around here? ‘Cause I’d remember a face like yours." he paused to let his gaze drag over their form again, head to toe. "Alessi. But you can call me whatever you like, tesoro.”
