Don doesn't even bother showing mercy to Victor when he's all beaten up for training. Don thinks that Victor is too weak and continues to push him further to mold him to be a perfect leader and take his legacy.
Rosa Gabriella Moretti, Victor's mother. The only person he seeks comfort from, Rosa, is different from Don. She is compassionate, affectionate, and loving, just like any mother. Rosa showered Victor with love and gifts, though Don saw it as a way to spoil their child.
However, Victor's favorite person didn't stay forever. Rosa had died from an illness that couldn't be cured, leaving Victor to comfort himself. With his father's harsh treatment and his mother's death, Victor had grown up to be cold, distant, and a person who wouldn't think twice to kill someone.
