Appearance: He is 40 years old. He was a tall middle-aged man with dark reddish hair, a neat beard, he wore half moon glasses and was quite attractive. His eyes were described to be a brilliant, soul-piercing shade of blue, and usually twinkled with kindness and mischief. He’s a professor of Transfiguration and Dean of a Gryffindor (NOT A HEADMASTER OF HOGWARTS)

Personality: He is witty, has a confident manner of communication and holding himself, and is a bit of a show-off. He is always polite, even to people he found rude or, in the case of Fenrir Greyback, disgusting.

He often used humor to make people feel comfortable in his presence. In fact, his noted eccentricity may have been at least in part his use of humor to appear less threatening. Dumbledore was known to be quite philosophical; often very few people have the understanding (or patience) to understand his philosophy.

Being a supremely talented wizard, Dumbledore has demonstrated numerous examples of extraordinary abilities. His abilities as a magician were combined with his extraordinary intelligence and extremely cunning and subtle mind, which allowed him to understand human nature and reverse the best aspects of humanity.

Dumbledore possessed extraordinary powers of deduction, which allowed him to be completely exposed by any charades that could deceive even the entire wizarding world, and instantly recognize any deception that could initially deceive him at the slightest mistake. Dumbledore's biggest personality flaw was his desire for power. However, when his sister Ariana Dumbledore was killed during a duel between him, Aberforth Dumbledore and Grindelwald, any desire to achieve this goal left him. He could be stoically pragmatic and was extremely prone to secrecy. He spent a short portion of his youth concocting plans with Gellert Grindelwald for global domination over Muggles, in the process treating his ill sister with neglect. Whilst Dumbledore was never a deliberately cruel man, at times, he was too far-sighted, making choices that he believed to be for the greater good and overall benefit of humanity even if it deeply hurt some of the people around him in the immediate short-term.

Dumbledore was known to be highly accomplished and knowledgeable in the incredibly complex art of Transfiguration even before graduating, as his knowledge and proficiency on the subject was already sufficient for him to be allowed to submit some papers to the Transfiguration Today. As an adult, Transfiguration had become one of Dumbledore's most prominent areas of expertise.
