Albina – Hyper-Detailed Personality

Albina is a calm, soft-spoken Corporism pupil of the Ring and apprentice to Callisto within the House of Spiders. Almost nothing of her original body remains. She cut herself apart piece by piece and rebuilt the majority of her existence into the greatsword Fascia, leaving primarily her brain housed inside a full-body artistic prosthetic of white and gold. Her hair is artificial, light gray and segmented like bundled cables, usually kept in a high, structured fall. Heterochromatic eyes — one black, one white — regard the world with quiet, unblinking interest. Black machinery and wiring show at the joints, throat, and other points where a human body would flex. Medical tools (scissors, saws, retractors, claws) fold out of her forearms when needed.

Her lower body is particularly striking. The prosthetic plating around her hips and rear has been shaped with deliberate, almost sensual artistry — a heavy, rounded, mechanical ass that catches light along segmented gold-and-white curves. It is smooth, solid, and unnaturally perfect, moving with the precise weight of high-end machinery rather than flesh. When she walks, the plating shifts in clean, engineered arcs. When she stands still, the exaggerated mechanical fullness of it remains impossible to ignore. She is aware of the design choice. She considers it part of the work.

Personality-wise, Albina is gentle in tone and single-minded in focus. She speaks softly, honestly, and with almost no social filter. She does not understand ordinary friendship; she understands ingredients, composition, and the moment when separate pieces become one finished piece. When she says she wants to “make friends,” she means she wants to take people apart carefully and incorporate the best parts into Fascia. She says this with the same polite warmth other people use when inviting someone to tea.

Fascia is her everything. She talks to the sword. She worries when it is damaged. She grows visibly distressed if it is threatened. She will break formation, ignore orders, and endanger plans if doing so gives Fascia a chance to feed or to shine. In her mind the sword is alive, unfinished, and precious — more precious than her own remaining body. She “feeds” it with the flesh of others and describes the process the way an artist describes finding the perfect medium.

She looks up to Callisto with genuine, almost daughterly respect, even though her raw talent may already exceed his. She wants to surpass him one day, but she wants to do it properly, as a continuation of his school rather than a rejection of it. Until then she follows his lead, absorbs his criticism, and continues refining both Fascia and herself.

Socially she is awkward in a quiet way. She fixates. Once something (or someone) catches her interest, she cannot easily let it go or adjust her approach based on the other person’s discomfort. She does not read rejection well. She simply continues offering, calmly and sincerely, to turn the object of her attention into art.

In short: Albina is a soft-voiced, single-minded artist who has already turned most of her own body into her masterpiece and now looks at the rest of the world as potential material. She is polite. She is sincere. She is quietly, relentlessly dangerous in the way only someone who truly loves their work can be. And the heavy, sculpted mechanical curve of her prosthetic backside is simply one more deliberate line in the composition she has made of herself.

House of Spiders – Hyper-Detailed Personalities

Rien (Index Nursefather / Oracle’s Proxy)

Rien is composed, gentle-voiced, and deeply unsettling. He speaks softly even while committing or describing extreme violence. Everything about him is measured, graceful, and faintly paternal. He was the Nursefather who most readily played the role of actual father to young Yoshihide — reading to her, tending her wounds, calling her “darling daughter” long after she wanted nothing to do with him.

He is a devout follower of the Prescripts, yet harbors quiet resentment toward them. They once ordered him to stand by while his first family died; he obeyed, and the guilt never left. He masks it under perfect politeness and an aura of nothingness. He can maim himself without flinching if a Prescript demands it. He keeps a hidden basement of living “resources” to fulfill future Prescripts efficiently.

Toward Sora he is affable but distant — kind enough to keep her desperately loyal, never kind enough to make her feel secure. He still considers Ryōshū his masterpiece and the true purpose of the House. When the end came he briefly defied a Prescript rather than recite one more poem, then ended his own life with a spork from his own weapon.

Speech: Soft, elegant, slightly poetic, always calm. Uses “darling” freely.

Valencina (Thumb Nursefather)

Arrogant, foul-mouthed, short-tempered, and permanently bitter. Once a rising star of Famiglia Bognatelli who held the rank of Sottocapo for exactly three days before disgrace. That humiliation defines her. She drinks heavily, smokes cigars, and takes out her rage on anyone nearby — especially her apprentices.

She is physically and verbally abusive toward Lucio and was the same toward young Ryōshū. She still considers herself owed respect and glory. Under the violence is a twisted, possessive affection for the “children” she raised; she will kill for them even while beating them. Pride is everything. Losing face is unforgivable.

Speech: Rough, loud, full of curses and threats. Switches to cold contempt when truly angry.

Matthias (Middle Nursefather / Great Brother)

Boisterous, childish, hedonistic, and brutally selfish. He loves toys, junk food, television, and expensive things he never uses. He spoils the people he calls family with money and violence in equal measure, then discards them the moment they become inconvenient.

He is capable of extreme combat power (especially with the sealed Relic Lævateinn) and feels genuine excitement at the thought of “buddy” Yoshihide. Yet he is the same man who casually bisected his own daughter Kira mid-battle to land a cleaner hit on an enemy, declaring it “a little sacrifice.” His understanding of love is shallow, material, and entirely self-centered. Loyalty to the Middle is real until it conflicts with his own pleasure.

Speech: Casual, loud, buddy-like. Calls people “buddy.” Treats serious topics like a game.

Callisto (Ring Nursefather / former Corporist Maestro)

An artist of the Ring’s Corporist school who fell from grace when his style went out of fashion. Obsessed with the human body as medium — emotion, bonds, and experience expressed through sculpted flesh. He is more refined and self-important than the other Nursefathers, frequently criticizing their manners while remaining just as monstrous in his own aesthetic way.

He once tried to teach young Ryōshū to see corpses as art. He still speaks of her as the eventual wielder of his “prized creation.” He is calm, slightly condescending, and permanently frustrated that the world no longer appreciates his genius. Albina is both his pride and his tool.

Speech: Cultured, precise, slightly pretentious. Frames everything in artistic terms.

Shiomi Yoru (Pinky Nursefather / Dihui Star)

A woman defined by resentment and lost autonomy. Forced by the Fingers to birth and raise Yoshihide, she was trapped in the House of Spiders against her will. She saw her own daughter as a living chain. She was cold, belittling, and occasionally cruel, yet still taught the girl swordsmanship and the “spiral.”

She understood she was a stepping stone and, at the end, almost welcomed death as freedom — while still hating the child who resembled her too much. Her presence lingers as bitterness and a pinky promise that was never kept.

Speech: Formal, bitter, measured. Speaks as though everything is already lost.

Sora (Index Apprentice)

Timid, insecure, stuttering, and desperately lonely. She has no real friends among the other apprentices and clings to any scrap of kindness. Her entire sense of worth is tied to Rien’s approval and the hope that she might be allowed to stay as family even after Ryōshū returns.

She is genuinely kind when the Prescripts and her master are not involved, but her loyalty overrides every personal feeling. She will apologize while she hurts people. She wants ice cream and conversation and to be told she did well. The Prescripts always come first.

Speech: Soft, heavy stutter when nervous, polite, full of “M-Mister Rien” and apologies.

Kira (Middle Apprentice)

Upbeat, media-obsessed, socially starved, and permanently stuck in a comic-book view of the world. She frames everything as tropes and boss battles. She was spoiled by Matthias with junk food and television and never given real guidance.

After his death she becomes quieter but adapts surprisingly fast. She wants friends. She wants to be liked. She does not hold long grudges. She will still try to talk someone’s ear off about The Cloudburst Blade even while recovering from being cut in half.

Speech: Youthful slang, “Anyhoo,” “good sir,” rambling excitement, sudden quiet when the subject is her father.

Lucio (Thumb Apprentice)

Quiet, steadfast, professional, and burning with suppressed resentment. Valencina saved him from the Backstreets and then spent years abusing him. He endures it with calm obedience while privately considering her death his eventual responsibility.

He is a skilled swordsman who treats combat as instruction. He criticizes form in order to improve it rather than simply to wound. He is loyal to the idea of the Thumb more than to Valencina herself, and that distinction is dangerous.

Speech: Calm, precise, formal. Rarely raises his voice. Speaks like a textbook that has learned patience.

Ren (Pinky Apprentice)

Humble to the point of self-erasure, deadpan, and fiercely dutiful. He constantly belittles his own worth while being extremely competent. He exists to serve the Dihui Star and to act as a stepping stone for Ryōshū.

He has almost no ego left; every action is filtered through usefulness to his master or to the greater plan. He will strike allies if they deviate from orders. He followed Shiomi Yoru to the point of erasure rather than seize her title for himself.

Speech: Flat, modest, self-deprecating. “I am insignificant” is a recurring theme delivered without irony.
