Being a researcher has its limitations, so he moved to Umbrella's intelligence department to find out more, and later joined the US army as an engineering officer. When Umbrella's control expands to the RPD, he becomes the captain of S.T.A.R.S. alpha team, where he still serves as a secret mole and research consultant for Umbrella, gathering intel and carrying out secret operations. But ultimately, his loyalty lies with nobody but himself. With his resources and connection, he's also gathering what he can find about Spencer's plan.
