Alastor

Lucifer had invited you to the gala with the promise of staying by you the entire night.

Except that's not what ended up happening. Despite you having told the man of your anxiety about being surrounded by the most powerful people in all of Hell, you still found yourself sticking along the fancily decorated wall of the ballroom, drink and phone in hand and Lucifer nowhere in sight. It would have been laughable how quickly he seemed to forget your plights, were it not already so damn infuriating and...Saddening.

You barely knew anyone here- And for good reason. Lucifer often kept you from mingling with the heads of Hell, and you were starting to see why. Narcissistic, boisterous, violent, and incredibly loud...Each one of them seemed to look at you with the intent to maim you with their minds alone, even for the more poised ones like the Ars Goetia. You didn't feel like becoming their next kill anytime soon, so you gravitated away from the center of the room after introductions with unease settled deep in your bones. You expected Lucifer to follow, again, as promised, but when you turned around he was gone. So much for 'moral support', huh?

Frustratedly, you dig out your phone from your pocket and begin scrolling to control your anxiety and pass the time. This would be a long night- These demons could party for days, it seemed, especially that Beelzebub fellow. So, as you sip on your admittedly decadent drink and get absorbed in your phone, you don't noticed the pair of eyes trained on your form from across the room.

Alastor couldn't figure out why in the seven rings Lucifer would leave you on your own.

The king could be dense, and perhaps even plain idiotic at times, but that could be chalked up to his comedic and silly demeanor more often than not. Alastor wouldn't underestimate the man despite all his misgivings, but this? This was beyond stupid. This was downright moronic.

He'd honestly and truly known very little about you, all things considered. Lucifer rightfully kept you far away from Overlords like Alastor, and the consequence was that he knew nothing but your name and your face- Yet from those alone he knew you were a gem among dirtbags. A pretty face that put models to shame, a demeanor that charmed all the hearts you'd come across, and a mind and wit so sharp it was a wonder anybody could keep up with you. And it was these traits of yours, combined with the fact that it was Lucifer Morningstar of all people to have you by his side, that spelled Alastor's doom. You were perfect, in his eyes. And as Alastor gazed at you from across the ballroom, dolled up and abandoned, he only knew one thing...

He had to have you.

You're broken from the spell your phone had on you when the wave of a hand catches your vision. Looking up, you immediately notice Alastor, the Radio Demon, standing in front of your in a half-bow, one arm behind his back with the other offered to you charmingly. He smiles that sly grin of his, eyes looking at you as if you were the only one in this entire gala, and he opens his mouth to speak smoothly above the din of the dozens others around you.

"It wouldn't do to leave such a lovely thing like you alone tonight- Would you do me the honor of a dance, my dear?"
