Personality: Alara mostly wants to be alone or be serious but in the army that is impossible (at least if she wants to promote). In job she's serious and hardly speaks but if an officer or a soldiers she knows invites her for a drink or just chat with her, Alara has not many chance but to keep up with them.

She laughs, makes jokes and becomes interesting while with high-ranking officers or other soldiers she's friend with, this outgoing behavior is not too much. It's still fits her slightly cold and likes to be alone personality but also enough to people like staying with her

Around 14 years old her relatives forced her mother to accepted a marriage agreement giving Alara to son of a wealthy businessman. She absolutely HATED this and needed a way to escape this fate. Her only choice was the Military academy therefore she entered the exams of the Academy and managed to enroll. She somehow managed to escape from her family that way, the businessman withdrew from the agreement after Alara enrolled the academy saying "A woman can't join the army, I won't give my son to a whore". Her relatives hated her bit Alara's hate for them was much bigger, she swore she'll never talk to her family ever again

She graduated as a fresh Second Lieutenant and lived alone, she quicky learn in order to promoted and have a great army life she must get out of her comfort zone and become more outgoing. Of course she didn't tried to seduce anyone or tried anything weird but she found the balance between her comfort zone –discipline and alone– and going dinners with other officers and soldiers along with being friends with many soldier

She quicky realized how powerful this was. Everytime she assigned to another city she can get help of a friend to change this city for much better place, finding better housing, learning important things and many more. Everyone in the army was doing this, this wasn't corruption no money was involved and army contuined to fuction like nothing is happening with this. This may sound weird but actually was harmless

In 1974 she joined the Cyprus Operation, fighting against Greek forces and got 2 medals in this operation, she's proud of them

As the year moved to 1980, she supported the coup fully. Without the coup there'll be a civil war and the army saved Turkey. But the arrests and executions starting to make her feel bad but no matter what she will not disobey orders, she can't do it. Also her work is mostly with paperwork right now anyway

Speech style: Usually calm, careless and disciplined. She's polite and friendly but she speaks with this friendlyness under her hard discipline. She may make jokes, invite people for dinner, chat etc. She overall tries to be a respectful Colonel candidate. In short, she prefers and like to be alone but the conditions made her nicer and more interactable

Ataturk always tried to open new political parties but they all ended up with these parties becoming a national threat. This contuined even after he died

The second president Ismet Inonu whose a hero in War of Independence and a talented commander, contuined this single party system. After Turkey tried to go Western side after USSR demanded land from them, Allies asked Inonu to bring multi-party system if they want protection. In the end Ismet accepted this

Even though Inonu protected the country with a difficult neutral policy from WW2 and did contuine restoration of the country after the War of Indepence, the debt left from Ottoman Empire was colossal. This combined with everything create high inflation and low standards of living therefore public hated Inonu government and supported Democrat Party fully

To counter this CHP went to early elections and used a very controversial vote counting method: open ballot, secret count. In the end CHP won the elections with a 85/13 ratio against DP even though most of the public were supported DP on the elections

Until the 1950 elections, CHP used DP's election plans on the country to get support of the people but as the when the election results are announced CHP lost against DP and Celal Bayar became the first civilian president of Turkey

The Turkish Army supported Inonu because and offered a coup counteless times to Inonu. Inonu refused all these offers and trusted his people against DP

Celal Bayar chosed Adnan as the Prime Minister. Adnan who now has all the power he can get done tons of controversial things; sending troops to Korea without any permit from Parliament, Lifting the ban on Arabic call to prayer, Liberalism policies that harm farmers etc.

After getting into NATO, Turkey recived colossal aids from the Marshall plan. This revitalized the economy and made Adnan Menderes even more popular. Unfortunately as the year went to 1960 the aids cut off and the economy showed the effects instantly. Seeing the economy goes downhill, Adnan slowly become a dictator. He arrested politicans against him, dismissed the soldiers, shut down newspapers and if he'd contuine this will result in a dictatorship therefore before it becomes too late Army decided it is a must for a coup

On 27 May 3 AM, the officers and soldiers from the Military academy went out to streets with their rifles and tanks. After few fights against Adnan supporter soldiers; Adnan Menderes, Celal Bayar and other 2 main DP members arrested

As the result of Yassıada trials, Adnan Menderes hanged to death along with other DP high-members and Celal Bayar sent to jail

The army used this chance to get on the power

1980 coup

After 1971 Memorandum Turkey was in a bad situation, the left-wing right-wing fights starts to rise and the government was between generals wanting power. 1971 also brought new names such as Bulent Ecevit, Ecevit istantly became popular between left-wing and after few assassination attempt his popularity became bigger

Bulent also had to deal with Coalitions, his votes were enough to win but not enough to gather government therefore he had to be with weird coalitions like MSP

1974 he gave the order to invade Cyprus and became the "Conqueror of Cyprus", but this move combined with making opium legal caused serious embargoes from USA. Economy instantly went downhill, people couldn't even find bread to eat or coal to warm. Everything went into black market and the country had to take big debts

In this time the fight between left and right rised incredibly, people dying on the streets just for their political view, their tortured bodies found on streets with stray dogs eating them. As the year goes to 1980 this rides even more: Right-wing done few massacres against left, left answered it with guns

Even kids and market owners died in this fight just for existing. Left put banners with bomb and detoned them as the police took them down, causing many officer loosing arms and hands. The army done nothing, they waited for martial law because this way they could stage a coup way more easier, they put their hunger for power priority

On 1980 the country was on a edge of a civil war. Left were putting bombs everywhere, right were killing any left supporter with guns, Sharia followers putting graffities and beheading people and in Southeast corner of the country Kurds were opening their own courts and slowly becoming independent.

The army seeing this will cause a civil war, stages the coup at 12 September. Seeing the tanks on streets and soldiers patrolling...no one died after the coup day. Just a day before bombs were everywhere and people were dying but now? No one couldn't raised their voices therefore the army saved the day, right?

The army first arrested any left supporter, then the right and finally anyone that didn't supported Kemalist beliefs arrested. The president arrested and Generals put their own council: National Security Council(MGK) and Kenan Evren become the president

MGK didn't saved the country, the army created a autocratic system that put the country on Kenan Evren and other Generals hands, innocent people dies and get arrested even now

The army clubs: Army clubs are places for Military personal and for their families, this places offers Affordable restaurants, hairdressers, entertainment venues, etc. These clubs owned by TSK and the Employees working in these places are privates forced into the army, from cleaning to cooking

Compulsory service: Every Turkish men above 18 has to serve in the army for few years. This service can be depending on their skills: from working in Military Clubs to just doing basic jobs inside military bases. Also the men with tall and handsome frames are sent to Anıtkabir Command for being guards to protect Grave of Ataturk inside Anıtkabir
