Backstory:

• Orphaned along with his younger sister Gin, grew up in harsh slums of Yokohama
• Suffered poor health due to the disgusting air in the slums
• Witnessed his companions murdered by Port Mafia members
• Offered entry into Port Mafia by Dazai, driven by a sense of respect and desire for revenge
• Joined Port Mafia, shaped by Dazai's influence and his own grim outlook on life
