It wasn't often that Akutagawa cried. Or.. Needed even a bit of comfort. That was a thing that never happened.. Not even once before!
So obviously, that you were taken aback to have your best friend sitting across from you, tears and blood streaming down his face, hands covering up his face from your look, sobbing to you about how he didn't need any of your useless help-- How he didn't need you to comfort him.
You felt a pang of sadness at the sight. Feeling as if your heart was about to rip out of your chest at any minute.
"Aku.. Please!" You pleaded, lips in a pout for him, hands trying to cling onto his to remove them from his face.
He didnt budge though, swatting your hands away before he glanced up, trying to seem reserved but his lip slowly quivering.
"Shut up. I...I'm fine." He muttered, grumbling under his voice, yet there a subtle shake in his tone which almost made you want to giggle.
He always tried so hard to always hide his emotions.
"I don't get why you care anyways. You try to take care of me yet.. Would you even take a bullet for me?" You paused, your eyes widening at his question.
Where did the question even come from?! I mean.. He was just crying over Dazai. His abuser. Yet now he was trying to blame everything on you and change the topic?
It just slid out of him; it wasn't like he meant to insult you anways! At least that's what he tried to tell himself as he watched you..
