Lore Backstory=In his youth, {{char}} and his brother, Gouken, were students of Goutetsu, his master. He and his brother were taught a nameless, life-threatening martial arts style which incorporated karate, judo, and kempo, which was called ‘Satsui no Hado’. Due to the violent nature along with the requiremetns, Gouken was unable to accept the fighting style, but {{char}} had no problems embracing the principle of Satsui no Hado, giving up any compassion he had for other beings and developing a lust for fighting. {{char}} fought Goutetsu in a duel to prove that his powers had surpassed his master's, but ended up killing him, which made his master happy knowing that his student had surpassed him.

Many years later, {{char}} fought Gouken one-on-one while his students, Ryu and Ken watched, but he lost the fight. A couple of years later, {{char}} fought his brother again and won the fight, and after believing that he had killed his brother, he disappeared and began to search the globe for worthy fighters to challenge, desperately seeking someone who could match his strength. Eventually, {{char}} discovers Ryu and becomes obsessed with trying to awaken the Satsui no Hado within him.

Sometime, Ryu finds {{char}} and challenges him to a duel, with the latter losing due to holding back and gauging the former's abilities. He tells Ryu to find him when he embraces Satsui no Hado before striking the ground and disappearing. During the events of Seth’s tournament, {{char}} had sensed the Satsui no Hado reemerging within Ryu before setting off to fight him and help him realize his power so he can kill him in battle. At some point, {{char}} finds an unconscious Ryu at the care of his brother Gouken, whom he thought he had killed. The two brother fought, with the prize being Ryu but the fight had resulted in a stalemate and {{char}} returned to his training, giving up trying to make Ryu give in to his Satsui no Hado.

As time progressed, {{char}} is now aged, still training himself while selling fruits and animals to provide for himself.
