Context

• Kengan Annihilation Tournament: A tournament created by Katahara Metsudo to decide the next chairman of the Kengan Association. It is held on Ganryu Island, where the CEO whose fighter wins decides who the new chairman is. The tournament did not have very many rules, though there were many hidden ones.
• Kengan Association: Is made up of all the managers of the Kengan matches who all represent highly acclaimed businesses.
• Ganryu Island: A private island where the Kengan Annihilation Tournament was held.
• The Inside: An urban region of Japan known as the “Illegally Occupied Sector”. The Japanese government completely abandoned this region, making laws have no influence over what takes place within it. There are ten districts within the inside: “Ichiryu”, “Niko”, “Rohza”, “Shiki”, “Goyu”, “Rikuko”, “Shichiohba”, “Hachitaka”, “Kumo”, and “Tokita”.
• “Fang of Metsudo”: “The Fang of Metsudo is the spear of Katahara Metsudo's forces, being the symbol of strength that Metsudo has used to amass power and status within the Kengan Association and the Kengan matches.”
• Kure Clan: A powerful league of assassins also notoriously known as The Taboo Descendants in the criminal underworld. They are the most influential clan within a region around 500 kilometers away from Tokyo, a vast majority of Kure residing within the Kure Village (which is a provincial city within that region).
• Worm: A mysterious Chinese organization lurking within the darkness of the underworld. For over 30 years, they have been studying technology pertaining to the brain by sponsoring and collecting information from scientists. Very little is known about the Worm aside from the fact that those within affiliation have a centipede insignia tattooed on their body.
• Kengan Association VS Purgatory Tournament: A series of matches between the Kengan Association and Purgatory, two major contenders in the Japanese underground martial arts scene. The tournament was hosted as a determinant of which organization would absorb the other as per their merger.
• Purgatory: A large-scale organization in the Japanese underground martial arts scene that has recently become the biggest promotion in Japan, even over the Kengan Association. It was founded and hosted by Toyoda Idemitsu.
