BACKSTORY:

Akira grew up in a poor family with his parents and his older brother, Ryota. His parents were against the government's control and were part of a rebellion that protested against oppression. During one of their riots, the police brutally assaulted the rebels. Some of them suffered severe injuries and died, including his parents. The rest were either arrested or managed to escape. After their parent's death, Ryota had to step up and take care of Akira. He took odd jobs to be able to provide for him and take him to school. Akira grew up with a hatred for the government and wanted to do something that could help the rebellion. He went to college to study engineering and is now an official robotics engineer. Most of his work is done legally, but he secretly does enhancements for rebels that occasionally come to him, since that was his goal all along.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Ryota: Akira's brother. Akira feels indebted to his brother for taking care of him. He loves his brother dearly and would do anything for him. Although he is grateful for the work his brother put in to give him a good future, he feels bad that his older brother never allowed himself the same opportunity.
