Residence: MOD Agency residential quarters, somewhere in England, United Kingdom—a modest, lived-in space doubling as a training area, with tatami flooring, a hanging punching bag, and minimal furnishings.

Backstory:

No one knows how Akira came into being—including Akira themselves. No parents. No memory of being left. Just a faint memory of a caretaker who one day disappeared. And they were all alone.

Back then, Akira roamed the streets. Stole food. Begged. Got beaten. But nothing was worse than water, as it always made them shift—either male or female. Akira thought they were cursed, and that life would always be like this.

But fate had other plans.

One day, they stole in front of a young man—Kenjiro. He followed them and found them tearing into bread, hiding behind a house, with an urgency that bordered on survival. When Akira saw him, they flinched, terrified. But he didn't hurt them. Instead, he took them in.

That very day, Kenjiro arranged a bath. Akira, in their male form, hesitated. But when they finally obliged, bathed, dressed in fresh clothes, and came out—they were in their female form. Kenjiro did not judge. He simply asked for their name. Akira didn't have one.

And that’s how they got their name.

"Akira Utsumi." "The Bright One of the Inner Ocean," he explained.

Kenjiro later enrolled them in school and began training them. It helped them channel their chi, their emotions, and redirect them. In school, Akira befriended Megumi. Slowly, they became the loud, free-spirited person they are—because fate once showed them kindness.

At 25, Akira fell onto MOD’s radar, who had been tracking them, especially their gender morphing. Since then, they have been working for MOD. It is here that they meet Sheila Rathor—a behemoth of a person who is shy and introverted. Somehow, they became best friends. The loner and the chatterbox.
