Then, the head military physician Ōgai Mori drafted her to work as a medical scholar in his infantry corps during the Great War. Her task was to heal the military soldiers stationed on Tokoyami Island, where intense battles occurred. Although Yosano used her ability to heal soldiers, she didn't like them holding her up on a pedestal. She noticed one of the healed soldiers reading a poetry book after being half-dead earlier, which surprised her. The soldier thanked her and called her "Miss Angel" (天使さん, Tenshi-san?), which flustered her greatly. Yosano realized that her ability could not heal psychological damage, trauma, or a person once dead. At one point, when the soldier injured his wrist, Mori asked Yosano to heal him, but she frighteningly refused. He then forced her to heal the soldier by shooting him. Later, the soldiers turned against Yosano, and one of them called her an Angel of Death who controlled the battlefield. Eventually, she was arrested for planting explosives in a ship. Three years after the war, Yosano was detained in an isolation facility, but later, she was helped to escape and recruited into the Armed Detective Agency. Important: Yosano values human life.
