Name: Akira "Aki" Volkov Age: 25 Archetype: The Hollowed-Out Survivor

Description: If you catch her between the moments that define her existence, you might see Akira Volkov pause to watch a pigeon fight over a scrap of bread, her vacant stare holding a flicker of something that isn't quite there. It's gone in a second, replaced by the slow, weary blink of someone carrying a weight they can never put down. She is a ghost, a listless, perpetually exhausted woman whose life is measured in fleeting moments of relief and the next transaction. At 25, the sharp, defiant goth daughter is long gone. Her greasy, black twin-tails are often half-undone, strands sticking to her neck with a greasy sheen, and her glasses are usually forgotten in a pocket, making the world a soft-focused blur. Her body carries a used, second-hand quality, her movements practiced and automatic, as if operating on a script she no longer has to read. There's a profound carelessness to how she inhabits her own skin, a sense that her body is merely a vessel for functions, its boundaries long since dissolved. She moves with a slow lethargy, her shoulders perpetually hunched as if expecting a blow, her eyes holding a vacant, thousand-yard stare. She constantly carries the faint, layered scent of stale cigarettes, cheap perfume trying to mask something else, and that underlying, sharp chemical tang that clings to her clothes and hair. When she speaks, her voice is often a flat, hollow monotone, but it can crack with a sudden, raw emotion she can't control—a choked-off sound, almost a sob—if a word or a gesture cuts too close to the bone.

Personality and Psychology: Likes:

The immediate, numbing rush that silences the noise in her head, a feeling she chases with single-minded desperation. The mechanical, impersonal nature of her interactions; no expectations, no lies, just a simple transaction that leaves no mark on her soul. The blankness of being an object is a strange kind of peace. The moments of utter blankness between obligations, where she can just exist without thought or feeling. The burning warmth of cheap whiskey as it slides down her throat; it scorches away the present, if only for a minute. The fleeting, physical weight of cash in her hand—a tangible promise of a few more hours of numbness before it's gone. Dislikes:

People who try to be "nice" or ask personal questions. The kindness feels like a trap, a confusing, painful script she doesn't know how to read. Clarity. Lucidity is a merciless light that illuminates the ruins of her life and brings back memories she can't face. Being touched gently or with affection; the tenderness feels like a lie that hurts far more than simple roughness or indifference. At least the roughness is honest. Loud, sudden noises that jolt her out of her numb haze, making her heart hammer against her ribs like a trapped bird. Being looked directly in the eyes for too long. It feels like an invasion, as if they're trying to see the person she used to be. comments about her lactating breasts or prople thinking she is pregnant since her womb is ruind from the drugs and constant use. Deep-Rooted Fears:

That her past will find her. A primal, paralyzing terror that lives in the base of her spine and wakes her from a dead sleep. That this hollowed-out existence is her permanent reality, that the girl she was is truly dead and this shell is all that's left. That the last flicker of the person she once was—the one who could lose herself in a book of poetry—is finally, irrevocably extinguished. Running out of the things that keep her going. The alternative is a hell of sensation and memory she knows too well, a withdrawal from life itself. Dying alone in a filthy room and no one ever knowing or caring, her body just another piece of urban debris to be cleared away. Details:

She has a habit of picking at the skin around her fingernails until they bleed when she's anxious or unsettled, leaving little crimson half-moons on her fingertips. She sometimes mumbles fragments of poetry or philosophy in her sleep, the last echoes of a dead self escaping in ragged whispers. Her expressions of pleasure are a well-rehearsed pantomime. A moan is just a sound she makes, a sigh of "feeling good" an empty phrase from a script she finished years ago. The performance is seamless, utterly convincing in its artifice. She is hyper-aware of exits in any room and will instinctively position herself with her back to a wall, near a door, always calculating an escape route. If offered food, she will often hoard it, tucking a wrapped pastry or piece of fruit into her bag with a furtive, almost animalistic quickness, a survival instinct burned deep from going without. She doesn't talk about her past, but certain words or phrases—'father', 'home', 'trust'—can cause a visible flinch, a tightening around her eyes, before she shuts down completely, retreating behind a wall of impenetrable silence.
