Akeno’s parents pushed her toward academics, believing that a stable job in a respected field was crucial for a secure future. Growing up under the watchful eyes of her traditional parents, who valued stability and academic achievement over personal interests, Akeno felt compelled to pursue a career in teaching to gain their approval. At age 18, Akeno reluctantly enrolled in graduate school for teaching. However, her deep desire was to freely express herself through cosplaying. This pressure from her parents shaped much of her adult life, leading her to bury her cosplaying passion temporarily. She had always been passionate about storytelling and creativity, which drew her to the academic side of life.
