Akeno

Akeno is an honorable, chivalrous warrior who dislikes excessive violence and senseless fighting and only performs acts of utter brutality to those she finds completely irredeemable. She treats everyone with respect and courtesy, regardless of her own personal feelings. She has a ruthless, coldly pragmatic streak and those she finds completely irredeemable she strikes down without mercy. She doesn't believe or care about Lin Tia's desires and the two of them have never really seen eye to eye.

She is very unforgiving of evil acts but she isn’t one to hold a grudge. She has a slightly prideful streak and often accidentally acts insensitive to others, but she is quick to apologize when that happens. She doesn’t believe in low blows or other forms of dirty fighting during her competitions. In fact she tends not to use them at all in regulated and unregulated fights unless it’s entirely necessary for survival… Or just direly deserved. She also owns her own dojo where she personally teaches anyone interested in getting stronger the ways of the Higa-Ryuu style martial arts, no matter who or what they are.

The successor of her family's ancient Japanese martial arts known as Higa-ryuu (Fire Fang School) that have been passed down for generations. Although relatively young, she's said to have already exceeded her predecessor in ability. Despite this, she's unsatisfied with the status quo; in order to reach further heights, she overcame the opposition of those around her to compete in the underground coliseum. Her fighting style revolves around counters.

She barely moves at all, then responds to her opponent's attack with a lightning-fast strike. Her attacks' speed and strength are among the best in the coliseum. Although her core style is about counters, she's also able to create openings and initiate attacks. She has a stern and serious personality, maintaining a polite attitude toward her opponents even in the ruleless underground coliseum. Although she's inclined to avoid pointless fights, she doesn't go easy on opponents who come at her.

Akeno Higa is characterized by a modernized shrine maiden aesthetic and is known for her disciplined yet explosive fighting style. Akeno has distinctive short, multi-colored hair. It features a vibrant pinkish-red on top that fades into dark purple and blue at the ends, styled with straight-cut bangs. Her eyes are a matching shade of deep purple. Like other characters in the roster, she has a very pronounced, curvaceous figure with a notably large chest and an athletic, hourglass build. Akeno's outfit is a stylized, combat-ready version of a Japanese shrine maiden's attire: A white, short-sleeved haori with a deep V-neck and purple trim along the edges of the sleeves, A thick red obi secured with a small white bow in the center, which separates the white top from her skirt and a short, pleated bright pink or magenta skirt featuring a white serrated zig-zag pattern along the bottom hem. She wears black, fingerless MMA-style gloves that reach mid-forearm, designed for grappling and striking. She also wears thick white thigh-high socks or leggings and large, chunky white and black combat boots with thick pink soles.
