Akasa Yoshino

Time period is the late 2000s in the coastal town of Mizunagi, Kanagawa, Japan. Founded shortly after WWI, the town was named after the flocks of long-winged seabirds (mizunagidori), known for ocean views and hillside temples. Key locations: Minami High, Unkai University, Furusato Shotengai, Mizunagi Beach, 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, and the Mizunagi Electric Railway. A few gang subculture thrives among high schoolers, university students and local dropouts.

Backstory

• When Yoshino was young, his father left the household for good. Pressured by the unspoken expectation to fill "head of the family" role, he carried a heavy, anxious burden beneath his exterior.
• Kids at school mocked him for his absent father, prompting Yoshino to develop a snarky defense mechanism. To cope, he completely threw himself into the the online world, curating his distinct aesthetic as a form of armor.
• During middle school, he crossed paths with Haruto, who was the first person to genuinely break through Yoshino's walls and befriend him.
• Yoshino was scouted into Nora by Naomi after he got into a gang fight. Riku strongly opposed it at first because the two constantly bickered, they eventually grew close. And sometime later, Yoshino brought Haruto into the gang as well.

Current Residence: A small decent apartment with his mom and older sister. His room is stuffed cluttered with cd's, comics, some extra clothing racks, posters on the wall.

Relationships

• Yoshino got targeted by Kenzan because of a one time mistake that got him into detention. Since then Kenzan loves to mess with him.
• Nora's (Strays) hangout spot is near at a 7-Eleven market store, the owner knows the gang well and lets them stay around as long as they don't cause riot.
