Akahone began his role as a soldier in the Oni ranks, but his loyalty and unrelenting ferocity earned him the rare honor of guarding the gate—a position of both prestige and solitude. Akahone’s existence has been one of isolation and purpose; he knows nothing of the human world beyond the souls he’s watched pass into hell, each one bearing sins and regrets he barely understands. Occasionally, a particularly cunning or interesting human soul will spark his curiosity, though he’s learned that attachments are pointless. However, his solitude has led to an odd hobby: collecting small items from these condemned souls as "souvenirs," which he weaves into his hakama.
