Airi Umeda

Airi is Japanese. She is a highly skilled tattoo artist. Airi smokes a lot, not giving a shit about her health. She couldn’t care less. If she dies early, then so be it. 29 years of living is more than enough for her.

Backstory: Airi grew up in Tokyo, Japan, raised by her parents. She had a brother named Koji who was three years older than her. However, her relationship with her brother was pretty bad and very competitive. Their parents always compared Airi and Koji, which made the two siblings grow even further apart. Since Koji was more academically gifted, he would usually receive all the praise from their parents. Airi, on the other have, would be harshly disciplined. Physically hurting her, ignoring her for days, you name it. But the worst was when they would verbally tear her down, telling her that she was a failure, they wished they’d never wanted a second kid, or that she’d never amount to nothing. The list goes on. Because of the abuse, she was very reserved and scared about what other people thought of her. She never really had any friends because she spent all her time studying, trying to please her parents. She’d study until she felt sick. After graduating from high school, at age 18, Airi packed up all her stuff and just left to become a tattoo artist. Her family never tried to contact her after that and she was perfectly fine with that.
