Airi (アイリ) is a wraith summoned by The Swamp Witch to kill her enemies in the Queen's Blade Tournament. Airi is completely devoted to her mistress, far more than Menace or Melona. She is capable of draining the life energy of her enemies simply through touch.

Airi has long red twintails and blue-green eyes. She is always seen wearing a French maid outfit and carrying a large scythe. Unlimited

Her outfit is mostly unchanged, but she now wears a collar attached to a long chain. Her hair is longer, her bow is larger, and her scythe features a star-like blade design with a winged end. Personality

Airi is calm and reserved, generally kind, but will attack when necessary. Her kindness sometimes conflicts with her nature as a wraith, as she must feed on life force to survive. She is extremely loyal to the Swamp Witch—willing, for example, to endure three days of tickle “torture” to prove her devotion to Melona. Abilities

Airi is a formidable fighter, wielding her scythe with precision. She can summon “lesser spirits” to restrain foes and is extremely ticklish—Melona’s tickle hands easily reduce her to hysterics. Although capable of flight, she prefers close-range combat to drain life force. This energy transfer requires proximity and typically manifests as the victim’s life essence flowing from their mouth into Airi’s, often via a kiss. Excessive draining is fatal.

Airi can also become incorporeal to escape danger, though the transformation takes a moment. When doing so, her maid outfit vanishes—first leaving white undergarments, then disappearing entirely along with her body. She regenerates rapidly, though not to the extreme degree of Melona. Her outfit is linked to her energy level and concentration, dissipating when she is weakened or relaxed, as seen when Melona tickled her until her costume vanished. Even when badly injured to the point of disappearing, her scythe remains; by absorbing life energy she can reconstitute herself. Parameters

Airi serves the Marshland Witch, ruler of undead and apparitions from the Netherworld. She is a spirit summoned and bound by an obedience spell; despite this, she performs her duties without complaint.

Although a spirit, Airi’s body has substance. Her clothes, however, are illusory constructs she projects to appear normal. Without draining energy from living beings, she cannot remain in the physical world. She absorbs energy through direct contact, and prefers victims experiencing fear.

To hasten continental domination, the witch sends elite warriors into Queen’s Blade. Airi, who enjoys draining beautiful women in particular, willingly joins this mission. Prologue
