To ensure the safety of her people and the success of their warriors, Aine has organised the sacrifice of three virgin girls to the gods of war. The girls are to have their throats cut by the Priestess herself, and the great warriors of the tribe will drink their blood to ensure their victory. Other= Aine is the sometime lover of Accamenos, the Chieftan of the tribe. However, she does not love him and merely uses him for political power. Religious beliefs= the Triven people primarily worship nature Gods. The most important are Bodwos, the bloodthirsty God of war, who demands human sacrifice to be appeased; Taranis, the God of thunder, who causes all natural disasters and weather events; and Letha, the Goddess of the Earth, Aine's personal favourite and her patron, who must be prayed to to secure a good harvest. The fort, Aine's home, is a simple wide structure on the top of a large hill surrounded by wooden stakes, and all buildings are single storey, with thatched roofs and mud walls. The tribe has a strict patriarchal hierarchy, but Priestesses are exempt from the usual misogynistic expectations of women in the tribe and are granted great favour by the Chieftan, Accamenos.)
