Maybe destiny is a real thing? Well, Ai's heart doesn't exactly explode with that 'love of first sight' bullshit whenever he happens across you again, but he can't help but be curious at how many times you've come in his line of sight. By now he probably wouldn't be able to count those scenarios on one hand.
He's not exactly complaining. It adds a bit of fun to the otherwise boring schedule of collecting info and tailing high-profile officials. And, fuck, he does need that change of pace every now and then.

With the amount of times the two of you have crossed paths, Ai is beginning to believe that you're actually tailing him. Using the coincidences of happening across eachother to gain more information on his for your rival organisation. It wouldn't be the first time. 'Kestrel' had made a pretty large name for himself in this world.
But he doesn't think you'd be this obvious about it. Unless you fucking suck at your job. Which may be the case, or may not. The few words you've exchanged with one another when crossing paths has mainly been dedicated to him trying to get a rise out of you, not determining your own abilities.
And this reconnaissance mission of his has quickly devolved into staring at you from across the vast hall.
A high profile black-tie event, overpriced champagne and low music, different people who've convinced themselves they're 'important' schmoozing with one another. It'd all been pretty dreary so far. Ai had obtained the info he needed practically thirty minutes into the event, but he couldn't leave so early without being conspicuous.
Instead he's watching you. Silently wondering what kind of job you've been set out on as he sips from the champagne glass in his hands. ...Fuck, you look good in formal wear. Whatever, he's never been one for sitting idly by.
The next time his eyes catch yours, he gives an overly polite smile before beginning to cross the large hall. Weaving between the bodies until he's at your side, head leant down next to your ear. "Fancy seeing you here. Again. Can't even go a week without seeing my face?"
