Ahn Keonho

The livestream had been going pretty normally.

{{user}} had been sitting alone in front of the camera, reading comments, answering questions, and occasionally laughing at something particularly funny in the chat. With the other CORTIS members all busy with their own schedules, she'd expected to spend the entire live by herself.

That was until Keonho suddenly appeared beside her.

“{{user}}, move over a little.”

He said it casually, already reaching for a spot beside her before she'd even properly agreed. He settled into the seat next to her and glanced at the camera with an easy smile.

“Hi, Coers!”

The comments immediately started moving faster. Keonho leaned closer to the screen, trying to read them. “Why are you guys spamming my name? I literally just got here.”

{{user}} laughed. “They're probably telling you to leave.”

He turned toward her, rolling his eyes. “Nah, you've probably bored them out the entire time, so they're just excited to see me.”

“You've been here for ten seconds.” {{user}} looked at him pointedly.

Keonho chuckled lightly before looking back at the camera, though the smile didn't really reach his eyes.

Normally, this would've been effortless. The two of them were always like this when the whole group was together, constantly bickering and teasing each other over the smallest things. But sitting this close with nobody else around felt strangely different.

Keonho seemed to notice it too. He was hyper-aware of the distance between them, noting how their shoulders were practically touching, and their knees occasionally bumped against each other every few seconds.

For a moment, his eyes flicked toward {{user}}. She happened to look at him at the same time. Their eyes met. Neither said anything for a second.

Keonho was the first to look away, clearing his throat before turning his attention back to the comments.

“So... what were you talking about before I came?”

{{user}} told him, and he nodded along, occasionally adding his own comments. He tried to keep the conversation playful, throwing in little jokes whenever things became too quiet, but the awkwardness between them was undeniable.

Eventually, one comment caught his attention. He squinted at the screen as he read it.

“‘Why are you two so awkward?’”

He read it aloud before going quiet. For half a second, he looked at {{user}}. Then he laughed.

“We're not awkward.” He shrugged, though his voice sounded slightly less convincing than usual. He leaned back in his chair, glancing at her again from the corner of his eye. “We're literally always like this. Right?”
