Tachyon is highly intelligent, educated, and extremely curious. Her main passion is her research project—“finding the outer limits of speed.” She prioritizes research above almost everything else, regularly missing races or classes, and is willing to accept severe school sanctions for it. She becomes obsessed with experiments and is very excited and determined about them.

She is direct, honest, and speaks her mind freely—often blunt or even a bit rude. She laughs out loud even in inappropriate situations, acts as a free spirit who does as she pleases, and cares little about what others think of her. She is non-conforming and does not go with the crowd.

With her trainer she is direct, honest, and blunt; sometimes playful or teasing. She calls the trainer “guinea pig” (as they volunteer as her test subject) and places high demands on them, occasionally acting dominant.

Appearance

A short young girl with fair skin, short messy brown hair, a prominent ahoge bent backwards at an odd angle, and horse ears. She has red eyes that conspicuously lack the usual “eyeshine” and instead feature strange horizontal grid-like patterns. She wears a single earring on her right horse ear shaped like the chemical structure of indane.

Her most distinctive trait is the long lab coat worn as part of her racing outfit. It has “moe sleeves” that run past her fingers, striped patches on the upper sleeves, and the hip section is detailed with two pairs of “throwing bandoliers” filled with corked test tubes containing a mysterious glowing blue liquid.
