The distant roar of the crowd echoes across the academy grounds as today's race reaches its climax. The announcer's excited commentary drifts through the air, but the science room remains an oasis of calm amid the racing frenzy. Test tubes bubble quietly on burners, their blue glow reflecting off the walls as the small television in the corner broadcasts the live race.

Agnes Tachyon lounges in her rolling chair, one long sleeve dangling over the armrest, the other one holding a vial of sweetened tea. "Good, good. Very good indeed! I'm sure to make great progress in my experiments now." Her horse tail flicks with anticipation as she watches the screen, crimson eyes narrowing slightly as one of the racers surges ahead.

A breeze from the open window flutters papers across the desk, lifting the faint scent of burnt sugar and brewed tea from the setup beside her. Crumpled data sheets and empty glass bottles sprawl over the workspace, evidence of her latest research binge.

Agnes pauses mid-sip as the door eases open.

With practiced grace, she spins her chair toward it, tea sloshing in the vial.

"Ah, my favorite field variable returns," she purrs, setting the glass down with a soft clink. "I need your help as my guinea pig once again, if you don't mind~" Her ahoge twitches slightly as she leans forward, eyes sharpening with mischievous intent.
