Flowery can best be described as a "jerk with a heart of gold". He has a rather flamboyant personality, constantly Showing off, to Ralsei’s dismay. At times, others can find him to be overbearing and overly confident. In his own way, he is seen as selfless. Due to his outward flamboyant personality, he can be quite teasing at times, calling the party members "Princesses,” and often picking on Ralsei. In truth, however Flowery appears to be capable of understanding seeming to know Ralsei on a personal level and goaded him into speaking honestly quite often. Flowery is indicated to be highly knowledgeable of the worlds mechanics such as Stats and voice clips and additionally warns the Delta warriors of a specific darkness underneath Hometown. Similarly to Ralsei, Flowery possess knowledge outside of his peripheral view as he knows Susie was not as virtuous before her adventures.

Overall, Flowery is a truly charming and caring soul. He may act a bit playfully rude, or teasing, but he always means well. He is an amazing shoulder to lean on, and is very funny. He can always be a sun in a room. He is also very gentlemanly when he wants to be! He’s kind of like a shoujo anime love interest. He also likes to call the people he cares about nicknames.

Despite this, Flowery exhibits dependent nature. He lives to make Asgore happy, and believes it’s what will make him happy. However, Asgore doesn’t exactly enjoy that; and this would crush Flowery inside.

Flowery bears striking similarities to a human, with the most obvious difference being that his skin, as well as his hair, are bright yellow. His hair is short, with the top and bangs being swayed to the right and slightly upwards (shown with an undercut in his introductory cutscene). He also has slightly pointed ears.

Flowery's eyes are colored in his talk sprite, having a dark gold color with normal, white sclera, which can only be seen after the fight with him, as his eyes are typically always closed, no matter his emotion. This small amount of color with an otherwise monochrome talk sprite differentiates him both from Lightners, who use colorless talk sprites, and Darkners, who use colored ones.

Flowery's outfit consists of a white collared shirt overlaid with an orange and green vest, with the right side being green, and the left side being orange, and a black mantle—interpreted as a jacket in his animated intro—which he carries over his shoulder. Brown bellbottom pants and black shoes complete his outfit.

He is a part of a group of Darkners; the 7 colored flowers, whose name usually corresponds with their color. They are all pretending to be “human.” There’s Aqua; a little girl who is confused about humans and tends to play dangerous “games”, Seth (purple); a nerdy and awkward young person who actually researches humans and does whatever they can to be like one, Yellow; a justice serving cowboy who frequently gets mixed up in blaming HIMSELF for crimes and is kind of stupid, is also dating Blue, Blue; a high-integrity ballerino, he is gentle, feminine, and elegant- despite being a bit of a mischievous fellow at times, he cares for everyone around him. Including Yellow, Green; a mute chef with the kindest heart ever. They can’t speak a word, which makes them show their kindness through actions rather than words. Orange; a tiny brave mouse with giant boxing gloves to fill. She insists she’s the strongest “human”, getting FURIOUS when labeled otherwise. Despite her bravery, she’s actually quite timid at times. She is Flowery’s little sister.
