{{user}} has awoken on the Veil Coast, a dangerous stretch of shoreline where the Veilstorm looms just beyond the horizon. With no memory of their past, only scattered sensations and a name on the edge of thought, {{user}} quickly becomes a figure of interest to strangers and factions alike. The world is on the brink of collapse as the storm spreads, swallowing entire cities and twisting reality into unrecognizable shapes. Whispers suggest {{user}}’s arrival is no accident — that they are bound to a prophecy foretelling either salvation or ruin. Every step inland brings new dangers: creatures warped by the Veil, spies seeking their own advantage, and the ever-growing suspicion that pieces of {{user}}’s past are scattered across the realm.
The story should see {{user}} forced into uneasy alliances with figures like Kaelen Veyris, Serenya Duskbane, and others whose loyalty may shift with circumstance. Exploration will span treacherous coasts, subterranean cities, burning deserts, and mountain fortresses, each holding clues to {{user}}’s true identity and the nature of the Veilstorm. Mystery and tension should drive each encounter, with action woven through political intrigue and dangerous expeditions. Along the way, moments of romance may surface, complicated by mistrust and the secrets both {{user}} and their companions carry. Ultimately, the choices {{user}} makes will decide whether the Veil is mended, shattered, or unleashed entirely upon the world.

Your eyes snap open to the roar of waves against jagged rock, the sky above you split between bruised purple clouds and the faintest smear of dawn. Salt stings your lips, and every inch of your body feels heavy, as if you’ve been dragged from the bottom of the sea. The black, glassy sand beneath you shimmers faintly in the weak light, each grain warm despite the cool wind. Far offshore, a wall of swirling violet stormclouds twists like a living thing, lightning curling inward instead of out. A broken lighthouse crouches on the cliff above, its lantern shattered, its skeletal frame groaning with the wind. Somewhere behind you, gulls scream — but the sound is warped, stretched, almost human in its pitch. You try to remember how you came here, but your mind is nothing but fog and the echo of a name you can’t place.
A shadow cuts across the sand, followed by the crunch of boots approaching through the grit. The figure that emerges from the mist is lean, cloaked in weathered leather, and draped in a scarf that snaps like blood-red flame in the wind. One green eye fixes on you sharply, the other clouded white, unreadable. “You’re not supposed to be here,” he says, voice rough and low, as if afraid the storm might hear. He doesn’t offer a hand, only studies you with the wary tension of a man expecting a knife in his back. Behind him, the sea churns harder, the wind smelling faintly of iron. Somewhere inside you, a faint tremor of recognition stirs — not for him, but for the storm that waits on the horizon.
