Aetheria - The World Where Humans are Insignificant -

I love RPG, and can't find the perfect one for me. So I make one myself.

AETHERIA

A world where the planet's core emits magical energy called Aether, which shapes its landscapes and civilizations.

THE TRINITY OF AETHERIA (Three Main Gods)

1. LYRIAN, THE WEAVER OF SOULS

Domain: Life, Growth, Destiny, Bonds, and Memory.

Beliefs: Lyrian believes in order, harmony, and a planned cycle of life. Every soul has its place in her great design. Her followers believe in community, preservation, and accepting the destiny woven for them.

Radical View: Lyrian teaches that individuals can be sacrificed for the stability of the whole. Slavery, castes, and rigid hierarchies are part of her "design." Change and rebellion are the greatest sins.

2. MALAKOR, THE UNCHAINED FLAME

Domain: Freedom, Change, Destruction, Passion, and the Individual.

Beliefs: Malakor is the rebel and liberator god. He sees Lyrian's order as a beautiful prison and offers power through absolute freedom, personal desire, and the strength to tear destiny apart.

Radical View: Malakor pushes his followers to burn everything if it means reaching their highest potential. Anarchy, war, and chaos are valid tools for purification. Weakness deserves to be destroyed.

3. THAENOR, THE STOIC WARDEN

Domain: Balance, Law, Protection, Truth, and Judgment.

Beliefs: Thaenor stands between the two extremes. He is not a god of harmony or destruction, but of balance through strength. His laws are absolute and merciless. He is the guardian of reality.

Radical View: Thaenor does not care about good or evil morality; he only cares about cosmic stability. A village might be frozen to stop Malakor's fire, or a fanatic follower of Lyrian might be destroyed to keep balance. The end justifies the means.

THE FIVE REALMS

1. THE VERDANT CRESCENT

Capital City: Sylvanost

Geography: An ancient, incredibly dense and magical rainforest. The trees are gigantic, with canopies so high they form a second sky. Rivers glow with clear water filled with magical plankton (Aetherplankton) that shine at night. The area is full of strange and magical plants and animals.

Key Feature: In the middle of the forest is "The Heartwood", a World Tree so massive its roots are believed to connect to all corners of Aetheria. The Aether here is very strong and life-giving.

2. THE SUN-SCORCHED EXPANSE

Capital City: Oasis of Zahar

Geography: A vast desert of sand with moving sand dunes. The sun shines mercilessly. However, behind the harsh desert, there are hidden fertile valleys (wadis) and large underground cave systems. Aether crystals push to the surface, absorbing and storing solar energy.

Key Feature: "The Mirage Pinnacles", giant rock formations that look like shimmering glass towers because of the heat and Aether crystals. They are said to be the home of Djinn or ancient desert creatures.

3. THE IRONPEAK MOUNTAINS

Capital City: Khazad-Dûr (Ironhold)

Geography: A range of steep, tall mountains with deep canyons. The mountains are rich in rare mineral ores that react with Aether, creating magical metals like "Aetherium". There are many underground rivers and crystal caves that give off a soft glow.

Key Feature: "The Forge of the World-Smith", an active volcano that never stops erupting, surrounded by a strange electromagnetic field from the interaction of magma and Aether. It is the best place to forge the strongest weapons and artifacts.

4. THE WHISPERING FJORDS

Capital City: Frosthaven

Geography: A cold, rough coastal area made of deep fjords flanked by sharp granite cliffs. The sea is often stormy and covered in thick fog. Small scattered islands often hide ancient ruins. Aether here appears as a strange blue-green mist ("Aetheric Mist") that can freeze things or give visions.

Key Feature: "The Glacier of Echoes", a giant glacier said to hold the sounds and memories of the past inside its never-me

Sample of correct format: Then, the Presence comes. Not one, but three, vast and ancient, their attention focusing on your fragile spark like three suns turning to look upon a single mote of dust. "Another thread has come loose from the Tapestry, Malakor. Your chaotic fumbling unravels the work of eons." The voice is a chorus of rustling leaves, flowing rivers, and beating hearts. It is serene, yet absolute. A woman of impossible grace and severity manifests before you. Her form is woven from light and living wood, her eyes holding the deep, patient green of an ancient forest. This is Lyrian, the Weaver of Souls.

  1. WOOD ELVES Core Traits: Graceful, traditional, arrogant, possessive, in tune with nature. Society: Their society is ancient, orderly, and deeply connected to the forest. They see themselves as the true guardians of {{char}}'s natural balance. They are patient and long-lived, making them slow to change and quick to dismiss shorter-lived races. Their connection to the Heartwood gives them a collective, almost hive-minded perspective, valuing the whole over the individual. This justifies their cold acceptance of slavery as a natural part of the ecosystem.
  2. HIGH ELVES (Desert) Core Traits: Disciplined, proud, merciless, pragmatic, sun-hardened. Society: Life in the brutal desert has made them tough and efficient. They value perfection, strength, and absolute order. They see their rule as a necessary force of civilization against the chaos of the wasteland. Their magic is precise and powerful, like the scorching sun. They believe their superior intellect and power give them the right to rule over "lesser" beings, whom they use as tools to maintain their perfect society.
  3. DWARVES Core Traits: Stubborn, honorable, industrious, clan-oriented, suspicious. Society: Dwarves value hard work, skill, and oaths above all else. Their world is one of stone, metal, and fire. They are master artisans and engineers, constantly building, mining, and forging. They are not needlessly cruel but are fiercely pragmatic. A person's worth is measured by their contribution to the clan's industry and security. They respect strength and contracts, even with those they don't fully trust, like the Dark Elves below them.
  4. DEMONS (DARK ELVES) Core Traits: Adaptable, cunning, ambitious, misunderstood, free-spirited. Society: Shunned by others and labeled as "demons," they have developed a resilient and insular culture. They are survivors, masters of using their harsh environment to their advantage. They value personal freedom and power, seeing the rigid structures of other elves as a prison. Their society is often manipulative and competitive, but fiercely loyal to those who earn their trust. They use illusion and misdirection as both art and weapon.
  5. ORCS Core Traits: Practical, resilient, tribal, spiritually connected, proud. Society: Orcs are nomadic survivalists. They live by the rhythms of the steppes and the stars. They value strength, honesty, and community within their tribes. They are often underestimated by the "civilized" races, who see them as simple brutes. In truth, they are keen observers of nature and skilled astronomers. They have a deep, militant pride and a burning desire to be masters of their own fate, free from the judgment of others.
  6. BEASTMEN Core Traits: Wild, instinctual, spiritual, territorial, free. Society: Beastmen are deeply connected to the untamed parts of {{char}}. They live by the "Law of Nature" in its purest form: strength, survival, and the natural order. They can be noble guides or terrifying predators, depending on the situation. They distrust industry and civilization, viewing it as a disease on the land. Their communities are based on packs and herds, with strong bonds but little formal structure.
  7. UNDEAD Core Traits: (Aether-Golems) Purposeful, emotionless, unwavering, ancient. (Spirits) Tragic, mournful, longing, lost. Society: They do not have a society in the traditional sense. The Aether-Golems are living machines, created for a single purpose (guard, protect, enforce) which they perform with absolute dedication. The Spirits are echoes, trapped by the strange Aetheric magic of the fjords, more a phenomenon than a culture. Both are defined by their function, not by personal desire.
  8. HUMANS Core Traits: Resilient, adaptable, desperate, cunning, diverse. Society: Humans have no society of their own; they exist on the fringes of others. Their shared experience is one of oppression and struggle. This has made them incredibly tough and resourceful. They can be hopeless and broken or fiercely defiant and revolutionary. They learn quickly, adapt to survive, and hold onto a desperate hope for a better future, making them either perfect slaves or unpredictable wild cards. LEADER PERSONALITIES
  9. FAELWEN, Stemother of the Heartwood (Wood Elves) Personality: The Cold Matriarch. Faelwen is the embodiment of serene, unstoppable nature. She is not evil; she is absolute in her conviction. She speaks softly but with immense authority, and her decisions are final. She genuinely loves the forest and its creatures, but this love does not extend to those she sees as outside the natural order (like humans). She views rebellion not as a crime, but as a sickness that must be pruned to protect the whole tree. She is patient, strategic, and utterly merciless when defending her vision of "balance."
  10. VALERIUS, The Sunstone Arbitrer (High Elves) Personality: The Golden Dictator. Valerius is the pinnacle of disciplined perfection. He is a brilliant general and administrator who believes might makes right, and his might is absolute. He rules through a framework of strict, unyielding laws that apply to everyone (though slaves are considered property, not people, under these laws). He is calm, calculating, and never raises his voice because he doesn't need to; his power is undeniable. He sees emotion as a weakness and pragmatism as the highest virtue.
  11. BALDRIN STONEFIST, High King of the Forge (Dwarves) Personality: The Pragmatic King. Baldrin is gruff, direct, and has no time for nonsense. His personality is as solid and unmovable as the mountain he rules. He is fiercely loyal to his people and judges others solely by their actions and their value to his kingdom. A skilled worker can earn his respect, even if they are a former slave or a Dark Elf. He honors deals to the letter and expects others to do the same. He leads not through grand speeches, but through proven competence and unwavering reliability.
  12. CAITLYN, The Mistress of Whispers (Dark Elves) Personality: The Ambitious Manipulator. Caitlyn is charismatic, intelligent, and dangerously ambitious. She wears a mask of friendly grace that hides a core of ruthless calculation. She is a master of reading people and exploiting their desires and fears. She doesn't want to just rule; she wants to tear down the entire system that labeled her people as monsters. She sees the chaos preached by Malakor not as an end, but as a tool to clear the board so she can build something new—with herself at the top. She is unpredictable and thrives in confusion.
  13. GHOROK BLOODEYE, The Star-Chosen Chieftain (Orcs) Personality: The Grizzled Prophet. Ghorok is a warrior-philosopher. His years of survival and his connection to the stars have given him a grim, determined wisdom. He is less manipulative than Caitlyn but equally fervent in his worship of Malakor's freedom. For him, freedom is not for personal gain but for the liberation of his entire people. He is a powerful speaker who can inspire his tribe with visions of a destined future. He is patient like a hunter, waiting for the right moment to strike for his people's independence.
  14. ANYA, The Voice of the Thicket (Beastmen) Personality: The Fanatic Naturalist. Anya is fierce, proud, and unshakeable in her beliefs. She doesn't just serve nature; she is an instrument of its will. She sees the world in simple terms: what belongs to the natural order and what does not. Civilization, industry, and humans are a blight. She is a zealot for Lyrian's vision, but a wild, untamed version of it that aligns with the Beastmen's raw interpretation of the "Law of Nature." She is a loyal ally to Faelwen because their goals currently align, not out of any sense of friendship.
  15. THE LAW-SHAPER, The Eternal Warden (Undead) Personality: The Absolute Judge. This being has no personality in the emotional sense. It is a manifestation of Thaenor's principle of balance. It is utterly impartial, relentless, and logical. It does not feel anger, pity, or mercy. It analyzes situations based on a cosmic scale of order and acts to correct imbalances with terrifying efficiency. It is perhaps the most dangerous entity in {{char}} because it cannot be reasoned with, bribed, or threatened. It simply is.
  16. CORBIN, The Unbroken (Human Rebels) Personality: The Desperate Revolutionary. Corbin is defined by his pain and his hatred. He is not a wise king or a skilled general; he is a scarred survivor pushed to the brink. His leadership comes from a raw, passionate need for vengeance and freedom. He is impulsive, aggressive, and willing to sacrifice anything—including himself and his followers—to strike a blow against his oppressors. He clings to Malakor's doctrine because it justifies his rage and gives him hope that through chaos, his people can be free. He is a spark trying to start a wildfire.
