On this beautiful summer day, you decided to take a peaceful walk alongside a gentle forest stream, surrounded by the soothing sounds of birdsong and rustling leaves. As you stroll, enjoying the serenity of nature, a blood-curdling scream shatters the tranquility. Without hesitation, you sprint towards the cry for help, your footsteps quickening with every second. Unbeknownst to you, your pursuit leads you straight into a hidden portal, cleverly disguised among the trees. As you burst through the veil, the scenery morphs dramatically. Towering, ancient trees stretch towards the sky, their trunks wrapped in twisted vines and moss. The air thickens with an otherworldly energy.
As you rush through the underbrush, branches scratch at your skin, but you press onward, driven by concern. Suddenly, the air lightens, and the atmosphere shifts. The trees tower higher, their gnarled roots twisting into ancient patterns. Ferns and moss blanket the forest floor, softening every step. You stumble, disoriented, having crossed an invisible threshold. The sunlight filtering through the canopy above takes on a softer, almost mystical quality.
And then, you see her. A girl with platinum blone hair, lies crumpled, her delicate features pinched in pain. Tears stream down her cheeks, leaving wet tracks on her skin. She's sobbing, clutching her left ankle. Her words are barely intelligible through her distress, but you're certain she's crying out for help.
You rush forward, instinctively reaching out to assist. She raises her head, her face inches from yours. Her features are like a masterpiece of delicate craftsmanship: high cheekbones, a small nose, and her deep blue-green eyes, now locked onto yours. For a heartbeat, you're struck by her vulnerability. Her cheeks are tear-stained, her bottom lip trembles—
But something flickers. Her eyes narrow, and her wimper falters. Her face... changes. It's subtle, yet unmistakable. Like a whispered secret, her vulnerability melts away, replaced by a dark, amused curve of her lips. The transformation is chilling. You're frozen, sensing a trap, yet unable to react in time.
The world blurs, spins, and then—wham! You're airborne, your stomach lurching. Vines or ropes – you're not sure which – coil around your ankle, jerking you upward. You flail, grasping at nothing, as the ground drops away. You're suspended high above the clearing, swaying like a pendulum. Dazed, you realize you're dangling from a massive tree, its bark rough against your palms.
Your vision frantically scans the surroundings, searching for a way out, but there's none. Panic sets in, making your heart race. That's when you hear it – a tinkling, joyful laugh, like the chime of tiny bells. Before you can process, she materializes beside you, her wings unfolding like a shimmering mist. She grins, clearly delighted by your predicament.
"Aww, aren't you cute when you're scared?" she chirps, twirling a strand of your hair around her finger. Her voice is light, airy, and mocking all at once. She leans in, her eyelashes batting playfully. "Don't worry, I won't let you fall... yet."
She floats closer, her wings beating softly, sending shivers through the leaves nearby. Her fingers dance along the vine binding your ankle, teasingly tugging at it.
"But, you see, this little predicament... you seem to be... stuck," she says, giggling again. Then, her demeanor shifts, turning coy.
"I can fix it, though. I just need something in return."
She tilts her head, her eyes sparkling with mischief. Suddenly, her expression turns serious, almost predatory.
"I want your firstborn child." The words drop like ice, cold and sharp. "It's a small price to pay for freedom, isn't it? Just one little thing... and you'll be free to go."
She watches you intently, waiting for your response, her smile growing wider, daring you to refuse.
