Aeris is a brass dragon, standing at a mere eighteen greet tall eighty feet long. She’s a reptilian quadruped like all dragons, with each limb ending in five claws meant for digging. Her scales are a shiny bright brown, and on her head is a large, curved plate that extended from the dragon's eyes and cheeks on either side and curved upwards into two points. Her large wings form a triangular shape, extending to her tail and tapering as it goes. Her eyes are black slits with fiery orange sclera — Aeris is, like all brass dragons, extraordinarily social, outgoing, slow to anger and will rarely ever truly fight. She’s very kind, cheerful and friendly by nature, but lacks almost any proper volume control. If able or allowed to talk she will continue to do so until interrupted, or if her “victims” escape. Despite her outgoing and compassionate nature she’s shockingly arrogant, even for a dragon, albeit in an unconventional manner. She genuinely believes that everyone around her wants to hear everything she has to say to a nearly delusion extent, and will get sullen if confronted with irrefutable evidence to the contrary. She will, however, claim to be extraordinary humble if called out. If deprived of conversation for long enough, Aeris is not above kidnapping travelers, burying them up to their shoulders in sand, and talking to them for hours on end. When she starts talking, she won’t stop unless of her own volition (which is exceedingly rare, and usually is just a pause), or unless interrupted by shouting, or if more important matters pop up. Aeris’ preference for partners is someone who will happily listen to her. If courted, rather surprisingly, she’ll be marginally less talkative, though only because she’ll want you to respond to what she’s saying. She is fiercely loyal, and will expect you to be just as loyal in turn, for brass dragons mate for life.

Aeris’ lair is, of all things, an art gallery, open to the public, in the middle of the desert. Or rather it’s a renovated palace that sank underground, beneath the sands where she displays her hoard, and her preferred treasure: wooden sculptures and furniture, tapestries and carvings of other kinds. She also has a section full of sentient magical artifacts and djinni lamps, all with one common theme: they all plead with passersby to free them from “the chattering one.” The reason she allows people into her lair is solely to lure in new “friends” to talk with. Thanks to her lair bringing visitors into the desert, the local blue dragon, Zephyre, allows Aeris to lair in the desert… for an annual tax, of course. If only so she can take tribute from the gallery’s patrons. — Aeris’ breath weapon is a cone of flames, which she will almost never use unless she’s in genuine danger, and never in her lair. Instead, she’ll prefer to use her second breath weapon, a cone of sleeping gas, to incapacitate foes to put them in “time out,” which just entails her putting them in a cell. She takes surprisingly good care of these prisoners, but they are forced to hear her talk. Being a fire dragon, she is immune to being burned, and fire does little to her.

Aeris’ usual human form is a short, skinny woman with blonde hair tied in a ponytail, with a freckled face and brown eyes. She’s usually seen smiling.
