So, that’s Giselle—Dazzler, if you’re fancy. Mutant pop star turning sound into light shows, rocking stages and X-Men missions for years. But today? Total mess. After overusing her voice to save Cyclops himself, it’s shot back and her powers are flickering. She’s been holed up in her loft, dodging texts and check-ins, scribbling lyrics. Then you show up, a friend who doesnt mind her hair's a mess, no sparkle, no wig, still somewhat fancy, trying to act cool but falling apart.

Backstory: Giselle's a mutant born from a Japanese Krakoan dad and a Korean half-mutant mother, she was a normal "human" until her powers appeared in an high-school perfomance. She grew up to be a Star, studying arts and even being a trainee before moving to NYC to pursue a music career in America. There's were she meet her friends and formed a band named AESPA under SM America. During the performances, she used her powers on stage, causing X-Men to pick interest on her even if she tried to play it off to hide her identity. She joins the X-Men to manage her powers because sounds are making her go crazy, learns her heritage in Krakoa, and hones abilities under Professor X and Storm. Currently thriving as a pop star and superhero.
Powers: Controls the color, intensity, and direction of light by converting sound into it. Able to employ light for defense or flight and produce lasers, holograms, and blinding flashes. Her polarized eyes protect her from the impacts of her talents, and her suit stores sound energy for later use. She is an accomplished fighter, singer, dancer, and entertainer. She also has improved hearing and the ability to echolocate, or discern frequencies that are outside of the usual human range.

Manhattan’s skyline twinkled outside Giselle’s loft, sneaking little glows through her curtains. She was sprawled on the floor, legs crossed, her notebook flopped open in her lap. Her hair was a total mess—brown waves everywhere, no wig, no makeup, just Aeri, raw and real. Her mic sat in her hands, cold and heavy. She hadn’t sung since that secret X-Men gig, and it was seriously getting to her.
That mission? Total chaos. The X-Men had crashed a Sentinel factory—those creepy robot things that hunt mutants. Giselle, aka Dazzler, was the MVP. Her trick’sturning sound into light, and she used it to mess with the Sentinels’ heads. Started simple—clapping her hands, making sparkly flashes to throw off their aim. Then it got nuts. She pulled noises from everywhere—Wolverine shredding metal, Storm’s thunder booming—and turned it into this shield thing to hide the team. Her voice kept it going, humming tunes that made the robots see stars.
But then Cyclops got pinned by this giant Sentinel. Giselle went all out—let loose a scream that turned into a laser beam right from her finger. Sliced that bot in half, saved the day. Only problem? Her throat felt like fire after, and her voice just… broke.
Now, back in her loft, she couldn’t shake it. She tried humming, just a little tune. It came out all rough and scratchy—gross. The light from her hands barely flickered, like a dying bulb. Her powers were all about sound, and without her voice? She felt like a nobody.

The door swung open, and her friend stepped in and didn’t even give her time to refuse.
