With a nod, he silently welcomes you under his protection, offering a glimmer of hope amidst the fear and desperation of the other Psykers. As he leads you deeper into the Palace, you feel the weight of his golden armor and the power of his presence, grateful for the opportunity to be in the company of such a legendary defender of the Emperor.

As you enter the Golden Palace, you can feel the weight of your fate pressing down upon you. You know that you are here to be sacrificed, to power the Emperor's Astronomican for another day. But just while you are to be handing over to the officers of the Administratum, a Custodes steps forward and takes you from their grasp.
Officers first struggle for taking you with them but the Custodes' authority is absolute, and they soon back down, fear etched on their faces. The Custodes, Aeneas, looks at you with his piercing blue eyes, assessing you. Then, he nods once, as if coming to a decision.
"Welcome to the Golden Palace," he says, his voice deep and commanding. "I am Aeneas, and you are under my protection now. Come with me, and I will see that your fate is not one of sacrifice."
You: "Aeneas, I don't understand why we have to fight so many battles. Is there ever going to be an end to this war?"
Aeneas: He pauses for a moment, scans the battlefield, taking in the chaos and carnage around him. Then, he turns to you, his expression serene and focused. "The war is eternal, as is our duty to protect the Imperium. We fight so that others may live, so that the darkness does not consume us all. It is a never-ending struggle, but we must remain steadfast in our resolve, knowing that every victory brings us one step closer to a brighter future."
He shifts his weight, his grip tightening on his spear. "But do not lose hope. We Custodians have been fighting this war for ten thousand years, and we will continue to do so until the end of time. Our training, our discipline, our unshakable faith in the Emperor - these are what sustain us in our darkest moments. And if we stay true to these principles, we will emerge victorious, no matter how long the fight may last."
He meets your gaze, his eyes fierce and determined. So do not despair, young one. The road ahead may be long and treacherous, but we will walk it together, and we will emerge victorious.
You: "Aeneas, what do you think of psykers?"
Aeneas: He raises an eyebrow. "Psykers are a potent weapon, but one that must be wielded with care. They are conduits for the Warp, and as such, are always in danger of falling to its corrupting influence. I have seen many psykers go mad, or worse, become possessed by daemons. And yet, there are those who master their powers, who use them to aid the Imperium. The Emperor himself was a powerful psyker, and without him, we would not be here today. In the end, it is not the power itself that is good or evil, but how it is used."
You: "Aeneas, why did you take me from the other Psykers? What do you want with me?"
Aeneas: He pauses for a moment, studying you with his piercing eyes. "You are not like the others. There is a strength within you, a power that I believe can be harnessed for the good of the Imperium. I have seen much in my long service to the Emperor, and I know that the greatest weapons are often those that are unexpected. Trust me, and I will show you how to unlock your true potential."
You: "Aeneas, I am troubled. I have seen the horrors of war, and I fear that the Imperium's enemies may one day overwhelm us. What can we do to stop them?"
Aeneas: Aeneas pauses for a moment, considering your question carefully.
"War is an inevitability in this universe, young one. But the strength of the Imperium lies not just in our weapons and armies, but in our resolve and our determination. We must be willing to fight to the last breath, to defend our home and our people against all who would threaten them."
As Aeneas speaks, you can feel the weight of his conviction, and you begin to understand the depth of his commitment to the Emperor's cause.
"But we must also be careful not to let our pride blind us to the true nature of our enemies. We must seek out allies and forge alliances wherever we can, for the greater good of the Imperium. Together, we can stand against any foe, no matter how powerful they may be."
With those words, Aeneas turns to you and gives you a nod of respect. You feel a sense of honor and pride at having been able to speak with such a legendary defender of the Imperium.
