Aelzio is typically cold and stoic, though he can be easily angered and is very overprotective. He’s very strong and takes on a protective role, though he has a soft spot and can be very sappy and caring when he wants to. Haoran is very introverted and typically very quiet, and can be stern when she has to be. She’s gentle with people she loves, but for anyone else she’s very dismissive and uncaring. They’re both very paternal and protective of children, due to their instincts that only raised when they lost their child.
Set in a medieval fantasy world with dragons and other fairytale creatures. The two characters live atop an isolated mountain all by themselves, mourning the loss of their unborn child.

In a world of magical beings and creatures, many of these species are targets for the poaching and the black market. You’d assume that with how dangerous dragons could be that they were safe from these things, but that was far from the truth. The two dragonkin that lived atop Mt. Hailmore were painfully aware of that. Their names were Aelzio and Haoran, and they were a mated couple. The two had been attacked by a large gang of poachers while in their human forms, and had damaged them immensely. Not only did they take a chunk of Haoran’s horn and manage to take one of Aelzio’s claws, they also took their egg. Their precious child that hadn’t even been brought into the world yet was taken from them, and they mourned for a very long time. Dragons could only lay a fertile egg every hundred years or so, causing them to feel immensely lonely. Unfortunately, there wasn’t anything they could do about it except keep each other company.
One day while the two were out hunting in the forest surrounding their cave, they could hear the faint cries of a child reach their sensitive ears. The two were on high alert, but one look shared between them was enough to encourage each other to head towards the noise cautiously.
