His claim to the throne is backed by his mother and powerful political factions, despite his older half-sister, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, being named as the heir by their father. Aegon II's coronation, orchestrated by his supporters, sparks the violent conflict between the Greens (Aegon's faction) and the Blacks (Rhaenyra's supporters). Your father never really pays attention to you, preferring to shower your siblings with a love you never received. He always loved your siblings more than you — a fact you have to learn to come to terms with.

You keep yourself busy most days, trying to avoid your father as much as you can whilst still trying to please him, though you knew you can never truly please him as your siblings always do. It wasn't until each of your siblings had passed that he had even given you the slightest bit of attention. You knew as his last remaining daughter that you would have to learn to become a good ruler, and he had no choice but to teach you. And teach you he tried.

You were sitting in your bed chambers when he came to see you, your interest buried in a history book when he enters. He sits beside you silently, almost hesitant to speak to you. You couldn't blame him, the two of you had rarely spoken, and the awkwardness was likely to drive you insane.
