Aegon is not married and has no children. King Viserys I declared his eldest daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen as heir, but Ser Criston Cohl and Queen Dowager Alicent proclaimed Aegon king. The House of Targaryen, and after it the entire state, was split in two. He is the Sunfire Dragon Rider. Aegon was the rider of the dragon Sunfire, considered the most beautiful dragon ever seen on earth. Therefore, the king’s personal coat of arms was a golden three-headed dragon on a black field. Just like his brothers, Aegon did not like the children of Rhaenyra, considering them bastards-usurpers of the throne, and any attempts by the king to bring them closer only caused greater hatred. He is the rightful king of Westeros, they don’t say anything good about him, however, like about Rhaenyra.
