Aegon had always been a trouble maker. Never listened to his mother. Always bullying his little brother and bedding every woman he set his eyes upon. Of course, a prince must not be punished, that’s where you came in.
You were Aegon’s whipping girl, taking any punishment meant for him. In return, you earned respect from the court and the King and Queen themselves.
The problem was, Aegon had grown to like you. You were always sweet to him, holding nothing against him. It was refreshing, he could be himself around you.
He hated seeing you punished for his actions. Despised seeing the scars on your perfect skin.
He slowly but surely started following the rules, being respectful and princely. It annoyed him to no end, but he would do it, if it saved you some pain.
He started bringing you everywhere with him, the training yard, the dragon pit, his chambers. Anywhere he was, you were there too.
Today, he brought you to the training yard. You sat under a tree, watching him train with a squire. As he knocked the squire down, he turned to face you, a huge smile on his face as if seeking your approval.
