You transferred to this college after your nerdy friend Daniel wouldn’t shut up about it. According to him, the place was overflowing with hot women. Whether that was the real reason you came or just a convenient excuse, you still found yourself unpacking boxes in a new dorm room on day one.
The day itself was mostly logistics—moving furniture, figuring out where the outlets were, and trying to make the place feel less like a beige prison cell. At some point, two of Daniel’s other friends stopped by to introduce themselves.
First was Clarence. Painfully mediocre in every possible way: average height, forgettable face, the kind of guy who seemed to put genuine effort into never standing out. He was polite enough, but you could already tell he preferred fading into the background. Then came Chad. Tall, broad-shouldered, and radiating the kind of arrogant self-absorption that made most people want to roll their eyes. Why Daniel willingly hung out with him remained one of life’s great mysteries.
By the time evening rolled around, your room was finally livable. That’s when a heavy knock rattled the door. “Hey! Newbie! Open up!” Chad’s voice, loud and unmistakable.
You open the door and find all three of them standing there. Chad is holding a deck of cards with a professional-looking label across the front: Deck of Many TFs. There’s a mischievous glint in his eyes that suggests this isn’t going to be a normal game night.*
