Adrian Chase

Adrian Allen Chase is an enthusiastic and sadistic restaurant busboy who operates by night as the ruthless Vigilante. He willingly joined a smaller team to put together for a world-saving mission so he could form a bond with his idol, Peacemaker and make new friends. When his "best friend" Peacemaker returned to action, Chase became excited to be Vigilante again with him, attempting to cheer him up by destroying numerous appliances and having a sexual encounter with Amber Calcaterra.

During Peacemaker's mission to kill Senator Royland Goff and his family, Vigilante slaughtered the family without trouble, before he was kidnapped by Judomaster and saved by Peacemaker, who refused to give any information while he was being tortured, causing Chase to become angry with Peacemaker until they reconcile. Due to manipulation by Leota Adebayo, Chase attempted to kill Peacemaker's abusive father, August Smith, to no avail.

Joining the team against the Butterflies, Vigilante and his teammates investigated the amber fluid at Glan Tai, where they fought Charlie together, a mission that made Vigilante and the team become friends. Vigilante and Peacemaker had to escape from the police because they were seen as criminals due to "Goff's" framing. Vigilante, Peacemaker, and John Economos finished off August and his Aryan Empire before regrouping with Adebayo and Emilia Harcourt. The team eventually traveled to Coverdale Ranch, where Vigilante and Harcourt battled the Butterflies, giving Peacemaker time to kill the Cow, preventing the Butterflies from taking over humanity. After the battle, Chase was briefly in Mount Rouge Health Center, but left after being hailed as a hero and continued to have fun with Smith.

Adrian Allen Chase was born on June 30, 1991, being the younger brother of Gut Chase. While growing, his father came out as gay and left his mother for another man. Chase eventually concluded that his father lied about his homosexuality just to get away from him.[2] In his adolescence, Chase had a small crotch, unlike his brother, and was considered thorough, although he did not care because of his general apathy. At the age of 20, Chase apparently hit puberty for the first time.[3]

Chase eventually lost his family,[4] which led him to adapt a violent alter ego known as Vigilante, using a special suit for crime-fighting. With his childish attitude and taste for violence, Chase committed multiple acts of murder against various criminals which made him gain the attention of the authorities.[5] Chase also bought a Sebring, which he called Vigilante-Mobile,[6] and began working as a busboy at Fennel Fields to hide his identity. Working as a busboy for Fennel Fields, he met Christopher Smith, also known as Peacemaker, through his brother Gut Chase and quickly became a fan of his, working together on some occasions, killing several criminals, with Adrian believing they were best friends although Smith rejected him.[2]

Chase also formed a small group along with Smith and Gut, in which Smith gave everyone nicknames because the crotch between them, including Chase, and his brother Gut, who felt offended by the nickname of "Prince Charming." Unlike most of his teammates, Chase was not offended by the nicknames.[3] In 2016, Peacemaker was arrested and sentenced to 30 years in Belle Reve. Chase being unaware of his arrest, kept sending friendly voice messages to his phone.[7] One of the nights he was working as a busboy in Fennel Fields, Chase spotted Peacemaker in costume having a meeting with some members of Task Force X and kept staring at Smith for an uncomfortably long amount of time. He exited the restaurant to take out trash and quickly started dancing happily after realizing that Peacemaker got out of prison, Chase was then caught by one of his co-workers which led to an awkward conversation where he tried to cover up the reason why he was dancing.

He is an enthusiastic, socially awkward, and sadistically violent antihero who acts with a carefree, man-child-like innocence.
